OUR SERVICES
“IPE provides services throughout the project cycle.
From identifying the opportunity, until the operational phase”
PRELIMINARY PROJECT
Budget, work plan for alternatives, recommendation, selection
and approval.
We analyze different alternatives and determine the
appropriate solutions to help our client make the best
decisions. At this stage we sit on the client side, and together
we visualize existing alternatives and talk about costs and
investments.
CONCEPTUAL ENGINEERING
With the visualization and the preliminary project,
already directed, we can give to the client conceptual
solutions that help him to close and define their
projects. Alternatives to technology, definitions of
routes, land purchases, and others, are completed to
identify at this stage.
BASIC ENGINEERING
The project already has form, it is approved and now
there come the first designs that will give more real
dimensions and costs to chosen the equipment.
Includes sizing, selection and specification of
equipment and materials to be used in the project.
Defines the lay out of the project, the final route and
the location with all the relevant studies.
OUR SERVICES
DETAIL ENGINEERING
The moment to construct comes, our
company offers constructive engineering in all
the disciplines. Drawings and documents that
will make possible the assembly and
construction of our clients ideas, made reality.
APPROVAL DOCUMENTS FOR SUPPLIERS
We assist our client in the managements of purchase, review the
specifications of suppliers and give green light to purchases. Also
check the specifications to materials delivered in stores.
ELABORATION OF SPECIFICATIONS FOR TENDERS
At the moment of searching for suppliers of materials, construction
and other related services, we provide support in the development
of tender documents with technical specifications and defined
scope of works.
SUPERVISION / INSPECTION OF
MANUFACTUR AND ASSEMBLY
We have specialized personnel in all disciplines of
the construction and assembly to make the followup to the customer needs in site. Besides all the
technical disciplines we have SMS service.
SUPERVISION OF WORKS
When it comes to oversight work by the customer,
we also have a team of qualified professionals to
monitor and report the progress of work and quality
of the works in execution.

PRE-COMMISSIONING / COMMISSIONING / STARTING
Pre-commissioning/Commissioning/start-up of processing units
consists in an detail audit to the constructive phase and to
assembly of a facility.
This is done to the verification of compliance with engineering with
respect to the physical part that makes to the project; such as:
process containers/piping, rotating equipment, electromechanical/instrumentation and control parts. All of them must be
according to what specifies the engineering and following the
recommended codes of the industry.
Application
IPE works as a whole with the Client for:
• Check that the different engineering phases are met according to what is specified in the project
• Review all the documentation for the project
• Perform engineering diversions when these correspond
• Enforce the rules and codes established by the recommended good practice in the industry
• Perform the Pre-Comm/Comm/Start-up of all process units
PLANIFICACIÓN

DELIVERY
Potential Benefits
The main benefits include:
• Ensure the proper implementation of the planned engineering for the development of the project
• Minimize the risks of delays in the implementation of the project
• Supervising the company responsible for the construction and assembly
• Alert on possible deviations and changes in engineering before assembly
• urge that the work is performed only once and with the respective quality
• Prevent accidents later whenever in operation and maintenance phase

Use of Computer Applications
The use of the applications referred to the pipes and its accessories is very important and useful during the
Pre-commissioner and Commissioner, since they are the phases where are verified that all of the materials
are in accordance with the engineering and industry codes, before to the Starting.
The specialty of PRECOM/COM/START of IPE Bolivia has different types of applications for these phases.
They goes from a database of pipes “Piping DataBase-EXTREME” to applications for calculations of pressure
of the different accessories such as flanges and others “B16.5 Flange Rating”.
Start-Up
As soon as the previous points were verified by the group of starting, it is continued by the execution of the
procedure of starting of the plant / the first pressurization, which must be carried out by specialists in the area.
The pressurization of the installation will be according to the procedure and the operation of opening and
closing valves, it is only in charge of PRECOM/COM/START staff.
OPERATING INTEGRITY SYSTEMS
TRANNING MODULES
Description:
Training in specific topics plays an important role in the work that we do.
Learning through specialized training modules, designed for the operating staff is the best way to raise and
motivate labor performance in each of the jobs. The type of training that we offer is theoretical and practical, in
addition to the visual presentations we offer to take materials and tools that are used in the field to
complement the theoretical explanation.
Application
IPE Engineers will dictate training modules to the plant personnel
with the objectives of:
• Learn about standards and criteria applicable to perform work in
the safest manner possible.
• Learn how to use quick calculations associated with operational
work that plays in the field.
• Motivate to do the work with quality, understanding that it is to
do the work once and as best as possible.
• Familiarize yourself with the rules and codes of the industry and
what we need to know for our work.
• Share work experiences and learn the best practices in
operational maneuvers.
Main Potential benefits
The main benefits of the training modules are:
• Improve the quality of the operational work.
• Empower field personnel in the performance of their jobs.
• Raise awareness among operational staff on safety and risks.
• Sharing experiences in operational maneuvers and evaluate
them.
• Prevent accidents and minimize the risks.
Support Documents
A folder will be delivered with the
course content, which will include:
• The information provided in the
module.
• A CD with the module digital
information.
• Small applications for fast
calculations in field.
• An evaluation form of the
module.

ENGINEERING
ASSEMBLY
In this way the project cycle is closed within a single entity responsible, exponentially increasing our ability to
design, implementation and integration.
INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING
AUTOMATION, INTEGRATION AND CONTROL DIVISION
The activities to realize in the assembly area are:
•
•
•
•
•
•
Editing and updating plans during assembly
Supervision for instrumentation and electrical works
Assembly of instrumentation and electrical projects
Pre-commissioner, commissioner and starting
Training on PLC, HMI and integration systems
Survey for development of “As Built” Plans
As part of the most important engineering company in
Bolivia, instrumentation area supports the projects
development closely linked to the work of process and
electric areas.
