AYC REUNION

We will meet for the 5pm Sunday liturgy and head to IHOP on Hwy

LIFE TEEN & EDGE REGISTRATIONS
We are currently taking registrations for the 2015-2016 faith formation
year. Parents may come by the office during office hours of 9:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will also be having a weekend
of registrations after all weekend masses on August 22 & 23, 2015 in
the gym. If you have specific questions or concerns please call

[email protected]. For those entering Confirmation 2
or year 2 of Sacrament Preparation, please bring a copy of your
baptismal certificate. Our faith formation year begins Sunday,
September 13, 2015 for all grade levels. We are also inviting all
parents and parishioners to consider giving of your time and talent as a
food team member, small group leader, chaperone, or in any area you
feeled called to help with. Call Bridget if interested.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
Will be offered each Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. mass, with dismissal of
children 3 years of age through 1st grade to the Parish Hall.
We wish to thank Macy McDaniel and her co-sponsor Melanie
Friddell, who have volunteered for this wonderful and much needed
ministry. We invite to all our families with young children to take
advantage of this wonderful program.

The parish community of St. Anne would like to
congratulate Jennifer Dennington, one of our 2015
graduates upon receiving the Youth For Christ
Recognition Award this weekend at the Archdiocesan
Youth Conference.
Jennifer was nominated and selected by her peers on the
Archdiocesan Youth Council for her outstanding example
of what it means to be Christ for others. She has been an
active member of St. Anne Youth Ministry throughout her
high school years and has been an organizer, leader, and
mentor to her peers.
We love you and are proud of you Jennifer; you are
deserving of this award and all of the blessings coming
your way in the future. May God bless you at St. Edward's
University and continue to "Be The Good" in the world.

Our Parish Blood Drive will be held on August 16th
from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Gym. Blood Donors
are encouraged to sign up in advance following Masses
this weekend or schedule your appointment at
www.giveblood.org (select the St. Anne mobile blood
drive site from the interactive map). Walk-in donation
times are also available. Commit for Life !
This week we recognize: SGT. JOSEPH MARSHALL
Sgt. Joseph Marshal, is the son of Gary & Mary Marshall.
He is in the Bravo Battery, 3st Battalion, 11th Marines,
United States Marine Corps. He enlisted after High
School. He also is an Eagle Scout. He spent a year in
Afghanistan. He has since received training as an EMT
and fireman in Maysville, North Carolina.

St. Anne Craft Guild will meet on Thursdays, beginning
August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the Parish Hall.

The 10AM Parish Choir has been enjoying the addition
of Brennan Blankenship to our music ministry for a few
weeks this summer. A Tomball native, Brennan
received her Masters degree in music (voice) at the
University of Minnesota. She met Loralee Culbert at St.
Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis, where she was a
section leader in the choir when Loralee came to St.
Olaf as an intern in 2012. Brennan has enjoyed singing
roles in various operas and oratorios, and currently lives
in the Houston area where she teaches voice lessons.
We will miss Brennan when her time with us comes to
an end this month.

ST. ANNE CRAFT GUILD
All are welcome to share their talents and enjoy the
fellowship of other crafters.
EDUCATION, PROGRAMS, SACRAMENTS
Baptisms:
The next class is August 14th, 2015.
These two classes are mandatory for both parents and
godparents. You will not be able to schedule a Baptism
date until you have completed the classes. We will accept
registered families first.
If registered you must be an active parishioner for at least
6 months prior to taking classes and Baptisms. We will
need a copy of the child certificate at the time of
registration for the class.
Families that are not registered in our par ish will be
placed on a wait list, and provided that space is available,
we will try to accommodate them in both the classes and
the Baptisms.
Baptism for infants and children through age 6.
Children 7 years and older will need to take the first year of
CCE before preparing for the Children’s R.C.I.C. (Rite of
Christian Initiation of Children). This will include the 3
Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation, and First
Eucharist. Classes will start on Sept. 13th. and registration

The 3rd Dimension Club meets every 2nd & 4th
Wednesday of the month throughout the year, except
November and December. We meet from 10 a.m. to 2:00

SACC BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
YOUTH MINISTER FUNDRAISING
Have you been wanting to help the youth of our parish but didn’t
know how? Well, we are taking part in the Fiesta Super Sports
Club Program. All you have to do to help is save some of the
product labels or lids listed on our fundraising form on our web
site. Each label or lid gives our ministry actual cash depending
on the brand. You may drop the labels off or mail them to the
parish office at any time. Check out our fundraiser

We are implementing many programs through the
Bereavement Ministry to help bring together our community,
such as a Blue Christmas Mass and End of Life wishes. If

Dear St. Anne Parishioners,
August is approaching with the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year looming as well. Faculty and staff
meetings will begin on Tuesday, August 11. The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, August
19 at 8 AM.
On Monday, August 17, a back-to-school event will be held. From 2:30-5:00 PM and again from 7-8:30 PM
our teachers will be available in their classrooms to meet students and parents/guardians. Families will be
able to drop off school supplies, receive information about classes, handouts, teacher expectations, etc. In
between these visits, an orientation session for all families will take place in the gym starting at 6:00 PM.
Additionally, the PTO will be hosting hospitality in the gym beginning at 2:30 PM, offering refreshments
and snacks. Also in the gym during this time will be the Used Uniform Sale, Pizza Friday Lunch Order
Forms, Spirit Shop items and Volunteer Sign-up opportunities.
Parishioners of St. Anne, please keep our students and their families, as well as our new and returning faculty
and staff in your thoughts and prayers for a successful 2015-2016 school year. The entire community praying
together is a powerful witness of God's grace.

A TERRIFIC SUCCESS!!
We enjoyed a delicious variety of dishes after Father Tommy
said the blessing. We got to know each other better and the
staff was introduced to the parishioners, and each one
explained what is it that they do for the Parish. We had a nice
time and hope to be able to repeat this early next year and have
more parishioners come and have fun with us. These are some

comunidad el servicio de llevar la Sagrada Comunión a
quienes no pueden asistir a misa. Si usted tiene un familiar
o conoce a alguien que desea recibir la Eucaristía en su
casa, hospital o hospicio, favor de contactarse con Susy

SERVIDORES DEL ALTAR/MONAGUILLOS
El llamado a la juventud también es para que los jóvenes
participen como monaguillos ( servidores del altar).
Para ser monaguillos, debe por lo menos estar en 4 grado
escolar hasta grado 12 de Preparatoria y haber
celebrado su Primera Comunión. Para mas informes,
