All are aware of the difficult parking situation at
the Cathedral during the construction on the former parking lot. Until the new underground parking lot is ready next year, we have identified the
following parking garages / lots in the area. We
cannot accommodate parking in the school yard.
The 2016 Catholic Appeal
is launching March 5-6
The Catholic Appeal is the annual fund that helps
sustain the 50 ministries of the Archdiocese of Boston. These ministers directly serve the Catholic
faithful, and also supports our parishes, schools,
and Catholic organizations.
IT’S CORI TIME! It’s that time of year again… As
you may be aware, it is the policy of the Archdiocese of
Boston that all clergy, all parish staff and all volunteers
(age 17 and above) are required to have an annual background check (CORI). Background screening is a tool
the Church uses to secure the safety of our children,
youth, elderly and the disabled. Carrying out background checks on those who minister to our most vulnerable populations enables us to live up to our commitment and responsibility to provide a safe environment
for those we serve. All CORI forms must be verified, in
person, using a government issued photographic form of
identification (driver’s license, passport, military ID,
etc.). You can bring your completed form to the Parish
Office during regular business hours from now until
February 29th (Monday-Friday; 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. You
can also bring your completed form to be verified after
any of the Masses the weekend of January 30th/31st (in
the parish office). All forms must be turned in prior to
February 29th. New volunteer s can fill out a for m by
stopping in at the Parish Office or at the “CORI” weekend. We appreciate the cooperation of all those required
to complete the annual CORI and we particularly thank
you for keeping the pledge to protect those among us
who are most vulnerable.
Easter Flowers: Memor ial donations ar e now
being accepted for the flowers that will grace the
Cathedral sanctuary during the Easter Season. As
Easter is the time when the death and resurrection
of Christ is celebrated, it is most appropriate to remember our departed loved ones who now live
with the Risen Christ. Please clearly print the name
of the deceased on an envelope marked EASTER
FLOWERS and drop it off at the Parish Office. If
the donation is received no later than March 18,
2016, the name of the deceased will be included in
our Easter program booklet (Printer's deadline).
Please print the name CLEARLY

The Annual Cathedral Baby Shower
will be held on February 27 and 28, 2016 at all Masses. The shower supports the work of Pregnancy Help/
Ayuda a Embarazadas, founded in 1973 to help women
in crisis pregnancies. Since 1985, it has been an outreach ministry of the Pro-Life Office of the Archdiocese of Boston. Its mission is to provide compassionate,
practical, life-affirming alternatives to abortion. Serving all women regardless of age, race, religion or ethnic
background, it offers free pregnancy testing, fetal development information, practical guidance, pre-natal
referrals, friendship counseling, and material assistance.
The Cathedral Baby Shower helps supply the material needs of mothers and their babies. Especially needed are NEW: boys outfits newborn to size 9 months;
sleep 'n plays, both sexes, all sizes; baby wash/
shampoo; diaper rash ointment; pack 'n play sheets;
crib mattress covers; pacifiers and bibs; infant toys and
rattles (no button eyes). Consider providing larger joint
gifts, such as "pack and play" bassinet/crib/playpens
and fold-up strollers that are especially helpful. Donations of large size diapers 3 and up, and toddler size
clothing helps provide much need extended support for
some mothers. Cash or Checks payable to Pregnancy
Help are welcome. If you would like to help, or need
more information, contact Gerry Zeller at:
