Miguel Loza
Murder / asesinato
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department is currently seeking Miguel Loza
on a warrant charging him with the murder of a 17 year old girl. Detective
Henry Montes reports that in February 2003 Loza allegedly stabbed Jessica
in a vacant pre-school near Cabrillo College. As Jessica lay bleeding to death,
Loza then sexually assaulted another women. Loza then urinated on the
young girl’s body. Loza fled to Mexico and was arrested by Mexican police
in March 2004 for stabbing and robbing a man. In September 2004, Mexican
police arrested him again for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 13 year old
girl. Loza did spent a month in jail for the stabbing and robbery and 5 months
in jail for the kidnapping and rape of the little girl. The Mexican government
refuses to extradite Loza and Santa Cruz deputies believe he may return to the
U.S. Loza was raised in Santa Cruz County and may visit or stay with relatives

The Alameda County
Sheriff’s Department is
asking for the public’s
help in identifying
the woman in these photos. According to Detective
Slofkosky, on November 5, 2010, this female walked
into the Tracy Wells Fargo bank and allegedly
attempted to cash a fraudulent payroll check. After she
left the bank, she went to the Wells Fargo in Modesto
and allegedly attempted to cash another fraudulent
payroll check on the same day. The following day, she allegedly attempted to cash
another fraudulent payroll check at the Castro Valley Chase bank. The person’s
name on the checks has been contacted and she is a victim of identity theft. Please

Fugitive Watch once again advises
that shooting guns into the air on
New Year’s Eve threatens the lives
of neighbors, houseguests and
themselves. A bullet fired into the
air returns to earth with the same
deadly force that can kill someone.
Shooting a gun into the air is a stupid display of ignorance and celebration. This year Fugitive Watch asks
gun owners to think before pulling
the trigger of a gun.
Just a few years ago, a young Los
Angeles boy was killed when a
bullet came crashing down on him
New Year’s Eve. The New Year
brought nothing but heartache for
that young boy’s family because
some irresponsible person fired a
gun into the air. Someone shooting
a gun in the air killed 14-year-old
Shannon Smith in June 1999. In
responding to people who fire off
their guns on New Year’s Eve.
New Orleans an elderly women was
killed, five people were wounded. In
Kansas City, Mo., a man was killed
by a falling bullet from someone
else’s weapon, moments after he
fired his own gun into the air. In
Atlanta, a teen-ager was wounded.
In Detroit an elderly woman was
killed by a stray bullet on New
Year’s Eve.
Fugitive Watch asks law
enforcement to have:

Many police and sheriff ’s departments in California will be making
special efforts to put a stop to this
stupid and dangerous practice while
some will encourage their officers to
take cover until the shooting stops.
Redwood City is also offering a
$500 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone illegally
firing a gun. Fliers to that effect
are being distributed in the city’s
neighborhoods.

The Los Altos Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the
suspects in these photos. Detective Scott Bunch reports that on August 28, 2010,
Los Altos officers took a report of an auto burglary in which a purse was a stolen.
The victim reported that her purse had credit cards that were also stolen. The
credit cards were later used at the Kohl’s store in Campbell, California. According
to Kohl’s loss prevention officers, these suspects allegedly used the stolen cards
to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise. Please call the Fugitive

down it is traveling at up to 700 feet
per second.
• If you’re arrested for shooting
a gun into the air, you will be
prosecuted to the fullest extent
of the law.
• If a stray bullet from your gun
should kill someone, you will
be arrested and charged with
murder.
• People involved in celebrating
the holidays by shooting their
guns do not realize the danger
posed by their actions.
• A bullet fired into the air can
climb up to two miles. When it
falls back to earth, it can reach
a speed of 300 to 700 feet per
second. A speed of 200 feet per
second is enough to penetrate
the skull and kill someone.
• If you ever see someone fire a
gun into the air, call the police.
• Celebrate the holidays safely and
responsibly. Don’t fire guns into

Exibicionista Sexual
The San Jose Police Department is currently seeking Guy Kessler on warrants
charging him with absconding parole supervision and alleged Indecent Exposure.
Detective Wayne Smith reports that Parole Agents Steve Van Bebber and Mike Ruiz
identified Kessler as the suspect who allegedly committed indecent exposure and
annoying/molesting children crimes in the area of Westgate Mall in San Jose. Kessler
has an extensive criminal history and is on parole for Indecent Exposure. Kessler
knows he is wanted for these crimes and he has allegedly removed his GPS electronic
monitoring device. Kessler owns a dark blue 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, CA. with license
number #6NCY272 and he was last known to be living on The Woods Drive in San

Giving Presence This Holiday Is Easier Than You Think!

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Even
parenting experts have trouble with
their teenagers.
While searching for ideas to write
about this month I ran across this story
from our past. Thank God those teens
do grow up! Here is the story.
Steve and I are outnumbered in our
family.
We have three teens in our home.
And this past weekend was one of those
no good, very bad parenting weekends.
Our oldest teenager would not stop
bullying his younger brother even after
being told endlessly to stop. Another
one complained that I was not a good
enough mom cause I’m not getting
him his own cell phone like “every kid
at school” has. And when we went to
put up our Christmas tree only one of
the three kids wanted to participate
in this ritual we have been doing since
– forever!
“I would rather go out with MY
FRIENDS than be stuck at home with
you!”
Ouch. I felt like a total failure as a
parent.
Now, I know my kids don’t hold
the patent on this type of behavior.
But even knowing this didn’t help my
holiday spirit. I was angry, frustrated
and hurt.
Seeing red this holiday?
This is the season of gift giving.
What I wanted to “give” was a boot in
someone’s butt! And the thought of
that brought me joy.
I don’t think I’m in the right spirit of
giving yet. However, there is a lesson
to be learned in heated moments like
these.
Putting out the fire of anger
Situations like this can trigger our
anger to become like an out-of-control
fire. Anger is an energy that is in us. It
is part of us.
We need to learn how to handle and
take care of our anger, so not to cause
unnecessary hurt and damage.
When someone says or does something that makes us angry it creates
suffering in us. And when we feel emotionally injured we often want to hurt
back. “If I am suffering you will suffer
too. You’ll see how it feels!”
Childish as this reaction is, so many
of us do it and it perpetuates the suffering. It doesn’t end it.
In truth, what is needed in these
heated moments is compassion. My
teens and I both needed it!
The antidote for anger is
compassion
Compassion means seeking love and
understating. Changing our perceptions
of the situation can help.
When we experience anger we have
to go inside ourselves and self-nurture
the suffering. Not do more damage to
our relationship by striking back.
What is the best way to do this? Do
not say anything when in a state of
anger.
Imagine if someone set your home on
fire. Would you chase after the arson
or would you run back inside to try
and put out the fire? Obviously, you
would go inside and put out the flames
because if you ran after the person your
house would burn down!
If we are angry and choose to fight
and argue with the person, we are
like the fool chasing after the arsonist
leaving our home to burn down to the
ground.
Helping not punishing
As parents, if we don’t know how to
handle our own pain and suffering then
it infiltrates to every family member.
Whether we like it or not. That is
why we have to learn to handle it so it
doesn’t spread.
A simple phrase to remember is “An
angry person is a suffering person.”
They need help, not punishment.
Presence of mind and body
Whether it is you or another family member the first step to take is
recognizing the anger and pausing for a
moment.
Stay present. Stay aware of the
sensations in your body.
In this gap of stillness you can soften
your body and relax into the anger so
you don’t have to become reactive. This
practice of staying alert to what it feels
like in your body, rather than following a story-line in your head, leads to
insight.
Insight is the seed that gives birth to
forgiveness and helps us to love more
deeply.
This holiday season stay present to
yourself. This can liberate you from
your anger and change you into a more
loving person. This is beneficial for you,
your health, and your family.
The gift of presence is the best gift
of all.

In Memory of Those Who Gave Their Lives in
Service to Their Community
Deputy Sheriff Brandon Coates
Orange County, Florida
Sheriff ’s Department
On December 8th, 2010, Deputy Brandon Coates was shot and killed while making a traffic stop. Deputy Coates never made a call for help on his radio. The sheriff ’s
department only became aware when citizens called 911 to report an officer down.
Responding deputies found deputies that Deputy Coates had removed his taser and
was shot twice in the head.
Deputies later located the suspect’s vehicle nearby and found the suspect, Brandon
Lyals dead in a wooded area from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to his head.
Records show that Lyals had an extensive criminal history and had been released
from prison a year ago. He had been convicted of several crimes, including burglary,
grand theft and trafficking stolen property, over the past 11 years.
Deputy Coates had served with the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office for 4½ years
and was assigned to the Tactical Anti-Crime Unit. He is survived by his wife, who
also serves as a deputy with the agency.
Trooper David J. DeLaittre
Montana Highway Patrol
Gallatin County, Montana Sheriff ’s detectives report that on December 1, 2010
a police officer found Trooper DeLaittre dead from gunshot wounds. It is believed
that Trooper DeLaittre was killed during a traffic stop when the suspect Errol
Bouldin opened fire. Trooper DeLaittre returned fire and was killed during an
ensuing gun-battle. The suspect fled the scene and was later found dead from a self
inflicted gunshot in his vehicle in Broadwater County. Trooper DeLaittre had served
with the Montana Highway Patrol for two years. He is survived by his parents.

Luis Menendez-Cordero
Murder / asesinato
The Sparks, Nevada Police Department and the Daly
City, California Police Departments are currently
seeking Luis Menendez-Cordero on warrants
charging him with alleged murder, conspiracy and
weapons violations. According to Daly City Detective
Gregg Oglesby, Cordero is allegedly an MS-13 gang
member from San Francisco. He was last known to
be living in the 200 block of Edith Street in Petaluma
but also frequents MS-13 and Sureno controlled
territory in the San Francisco Mission District. Please

Ramon Cobo Delgado

The Milpitas Police Department is currently seeking Ramon Cobo Delgado on
a warrant charging him with them murder of his girlfriend Adriana Uscanga.
Detective Matt Toffey reports that Delgado allegedly stabbed Uscanga and hid
her in a closet. Her body was later discovered by neighbors. Delgado has not been
seen since July 9th 2003. His last known address was in the 1400 block of East
Calaveras Blvd. in Milpitas. This photo of Delgado is over 7 years old. He was
believed to have fled to Mexico but may have returned to the US. Please call the

for parole violation in Monroe County Florida and Failure to Appear in St. Johns

Police have released a photo of a man believed to have allegedly sexually assaulted
a girl in her North Berkeley bedroom early Saturday morning. Omar Sosa, 27,
of Berkeley, is suspected of forcing his way through an unlocked window at a
residence on Evelyn Street just after 6 a.m., and sexually assaulting a young girl
in her room, Berkeley police said. Detectives believe Sosa likely fled the Bay Area
after the attack and is heading south in an effort to flee to Mexico. According to
information made public this afternoon, police said Sosa is driving a gray 1997
Ford Ranger pickup truck with a double cab and a white camper shell. Sosa,
is said to have a “very pronounced nose” and he speaks with a heavy accent.

Police are asking the community for help in identifying
two suspects who attacked two people at San Francisco’s
Coit Tower in August. At about 1:40 a.m. on Aug. 21, the
two victims were approached by a large light-skinned
black male who yelled expletives at the pair before
punching one of the victims in the jaw with a pair of brass knuckles, police said. With
his jaw broken, the victim was knocked unconscious. When the second victim when to
his aid, she was punched in the nose by a second suspect, who then stole her purse. Both
suspects fled the scene with the woman’s property. Police have released an image of one
of the suspects, who is described as a 6-foot-1-inch black male weighing 200 pounds. The
man has tattoos on his upper left arm and was wearing a black baseball cap, T-shirt, blue
jeans and white tennis shoes at the time of the attack. The second suspect is a black male
5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, who wore a dark T-shirt and had close-shaved

A man and woman were fatally shot in Fairfield and police are searching for the woman’s ex-boyfriend as the suspected shooter. Ricardo Martinez Deleon, 50, of Fairfield, is
wanted for the shooting, which was reported at about 1:15 a.m. at an apartment complex on Crowley Lane, according to police. The incident began at about 6:15 p.m. Friday
when police were called to an apartment complex on Crowley Lane on the report of a disturbance. Arriving officers spoke to a crowd of people who said Deleon showed up
and was arguing with his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot. Her family surrounded Deleon and convinced him to leave the area. He had fled the area on foot before officers
arrived, but his vehicle was found and towed off the property a short time later, police said. The woman had a restraining order against Deleon but it had not been served,
according to police. Then early this morning, police received several reports of the shooting and responded to find a male and female victim each suffering from a gunshot
wound. They were both taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, police said. The victims’ identities are not being released until family members are notified.
Investigators learned from witnesses and evidence at the scene that Deleon apparently returned to the area and waited for the woman and her new boyfriend to return
home. As they were walking through the complex, they were both shot by Deleon, according to police. Deleon is described as Hispanic and may be driving a late 1970s

Police are asking for the public’s
help in finding two men wanted
in connection with the robbery
and rape of three women in West
Oakland on Nov. 20. Investigators
released sketches of the suspects,
describing one of them as a black
man between 20 and 30 years
old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and
195 pounds, with a mustache and
goatee. They described the second
suspect as a black man between
20 and 25 years old, about 6 feet 2
inches tall and 175 pounds, with
hazel eyes.Police said the men were
driving a 1993 or 1994 four-door
black Honda Civic with a “square”
spoiler on the back. Police said
the crime began at about 12:30
a.m. on Nov. 20 when the two men
accosted a 26-year-old woman
near 11th and Market streets as she
was walking home from the West
Oakland BART station. Authorities
said the men, one of whom had a gun,
sexually assaulted the woman and then
forced her to withdraw money from
an ATM. The men next ordered the
woman to take them to the apartment
where she lives with the other two
woman, one 30 and the other 29, police
said. The men then sexually assaulted
and robbed the other two women,
police said. The women’s ordeal didn’t
end until 3:30 a.m., when the men left
and the women were able to call police,
according to authorities. The women
were treated at a hospital and released.

following leads to try to solve this

Capturan a Rogelio Chacha
Quintanilla Líder de los Zetas
en Guadalupe, NL
El Ejército Mexicano desarticuló
ayer en la mañana, a una célula de la
organización criminal de Los Zetas que
operaba en Guadalupe.
Detuvo a su líder y siete cómplices
más y como parte del operativo, durante la noche el Grupo de Reacción
Inmediata capturó a por lo menos
tres oficiales de policía, en la citada
localidad.
Además de detener por la mañana, al
líder de la célula criminal identificado
con el nombre de Rogelio Chacha
Quintanilla, de 26 años, “El Yeyo
o Yiyo”, originario de Boca de Río,
Veracruz, y sus siete cómplices, los militares aseguraron drogas, armas, autos y
demás objetos, en la Colonia Orizaba,
en Ciudad Guadalupe.
Ya por la tarde- noche, militares,
federales y agentes ministeriales integrantes del GRI, sitiaron el edificio
de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública
y Vialidad de Guadalupe, en donde
culminó el dispositivo de seguridad
que culminó con la detención de los al
menos tres policías de la localidad.
INICIA OPERATIVO
La presencia de los efectivos en el
domicilio, una propiedad ubicada en el
cruce de las calles México y Yucatán, de
la colonia Orizaba, comenzó desde las
08:00 y se prolongó hasta después de
las 15:00 horas de ayer.
El Yeyo o “Yiyo”, es señalado como
uno de los líderes en Guadalupe para
el grupo de la delincuencia organizada
Los Zetas, según trascendió ayer, y al
momento de su arresto se encontraba
vestido como militar y portaba una
gorra con la leyenda AFI.
Los otros arrestados son, Brayan
Antonio Medellín Gallegos, “El Wisi”,
de 17 años; Héctor Rosbel Huerta
Tinoco, de 23, “El Jefe”; Agustín
Bolaños Delgado, “El Guti”, de 27; así
como tres mujeres, Estefania Lizeth
Díaz de León, “Fani”, de 20; Mónica
Hernández Gutiérrez, de 17; y
Xiomara Mirazai Cortez Saldívar, de
20.
En la misma propiedad fueron asegurados 26 vehículos de diferentes modelos, al parecer con reporte de robo, así
como al menos 30 kilos de marihuana,
cuatro armas largas (AR 15), dos pistolas, 35 cargadores, mil 212 balas hábiles
de AR 15, 125 de AK 47, 60x7.62 para
G3, 15 Nextel, y cuatro celulares.
Además entre lo asegurado había una
tabla para torturas con la leyenda “El
Terror” y una fornitura de la AEI.
La zona fue resguardada por elementos militares, a los que más tarde se les
unieron efectivos de la Agencia Estatal
de Investigaciones y personal de la
Procuraduría General de la República,
siendo cerrada la calle México entre
Yucatán y Tamaulipas, ubicada a dos
cuadras de la avenida Plutarco Elías
Calles.
En la acción que realizaron las autoridades no se informó de detonaciones
de arma de fuego, y al parecer las autoridades ya rastreaban a El Yeyo y sus
acompañantes, quedando los arrestados
a disposición de las autoridades federales, así como lo decomisado.
En el mismo sitio de los hechos, los
detenidos así como lo asegurado fue
presentado a los medios de comunicación, para luego llevárselos ante las
autoridades correspondientes y continuar con las investigaciones.

A war more violent than our war
in Afghanistan, is raging everyday
just yards from our very own borders.
Mexican Army, Marines and Navy
personnel are in daily fire fights lasting
hours with vicious paramilitary drug
cartel gunmen. Over 30,000 people
have been killed since the war began, it
dwarfs the casualties we are suffering in
Afghanistan and the pile of dead bodies
grows daily. Our Third World neighbor
that has been our ally in many of our
wars including World War Two, is
fighting for their very lives. The reports
come in daily reporting the government
may be losing the war. The American
Pentagon reports that Mexico is next
to Pakistan as two countries in danger
of implosion and has planned out an
American
military
response
should the
Mexican
government
collapse.

As a result
the school system is threaten with a

#2 A 77-year-old Mexican Rancher
named Don Alejo Garza Tamez spend
his whole life building up his cattle
ranch named Rancho San Jose. One day
recently drug cartel thugs told him he
had 24 hours to abandoned his ranch
or he would be killed. Instead of surrendering his ranch, Don Alejo gather
his employees and gave them their last
pay check plus a weeks extra pay and
told them do not return to work here
anymore. He then barricaded himself
in his ranch and waited for the thugs to
return. He set up rifles and guns at his
windows and doors in his house and
waited for the thugs to return.
At about 4 am in the morning, four
or five trucks and SUV’s arrived loaded
with armed men. The men dismounted
and yelled out for Don Alejo to surrender. But instead of a surrender, the
cartel gunmen were answered with
gunfire from the old man. A furious
gun fight broke out and Don Alejo
fought valiantly to the end, killing at
least 4 thugs and seriously wounding
2 more. The cartel gunmen returned
massive gunfire and attacked him with
fragmentation hand grenades.
When police arrived on the scene
they found a house destroyed by gunfire
and grenades.
Inside the
house was
only one
body, that of
Don Alejo,
a timber
businessman
and the owner
of the farm.
Inspection
of the
battleground
revealed that
all doors and
windows had
weapons and
ammunition
nearby. This
discovery allowed police
to imagine
how a battle was fought hours earlier.
The authorities searched for more
bodies inside the home, but Don Alejo
Garza Tamez defended his home to his
death alone. It seemed hard to believe
that one person was responsible for killing so many cartel hit men reported the
authorities.
Police said they will never forget the
story of the 77-year-old man who took
out four gunmen before he died fighting like a soldier—with dignity, honor
and courage.

Well, I couldn’t find a restroom and that car was nearby so . . .
A 24 year-old Chesapeake City, Maryland man apparently had a full bladder
and couldn’t find a restroom. So he used the gas tank of a Pontiac Grand Prix. The
man was arrested Sunday morning after a witness told police he saw the man unscrew the gas cap and urinate into the car. He was arrested for malicious destruction
and disorderly intoxication.
Robbery plan has numerous flaws
A 26-year old Gary, Indiana man thought he had a pretty good plan to get some
free smokes. According to authorities, Dan Griggs stole three cartons of cigarettes
about 1 a.m. Thursday from a convenience store. As we shall see, the plan had a few
flaws.
First, the convenience store was located across the street from the Lake Station
Police Department. Things got worse when, according to Police Lt. Mike Stills,
Griggs returned to his vehicle to find the doors locked.
Meanwhile, a clerk followed Griggs out of the store and confronted him. Griggs
told the clerk it was just a joke and he didn’t intend to steal the cigarettes. The clerk
didn’t believe him and called the police - the ones right across the street.
Griggs then went back into the store, ripped out the telephone cord and demanded money. He then opened the store’s lottery machine, took about $50 and fled
again, according to court documents filed Thursday in Lake Superior Court.
He now had some cash to go with his cigarettes - but that left the problem of the
locked getaway car. What to do?
According to Lt. Stills, Griggs returned to the store and grabbed a broom.
Dispatchers watched from the police station as Griggs used the broom to smash out
a window on his vehicle. According to the police, Griggs then drove away from the
store and promptly ran into an oncoming police cruiser. He fled the car, fell into a
ditch and was arrested.
Thief caught on tape snatching donation money
This story takes place in Anchorage, Alaska where the owner of the local Tastee
Freez always tries to help out those less fortunate during the holidays. This year, as
has happened in the last ten years, Rich Owens put out a small plastic container for
donations, this year for the military families of the nearby Alaska National Guard
Base.
Last Wednesday a couple enters the restaurant. The 42 year-old woman, Sonya,
and her 28 year old boyfriend, Stephen, walk to the register. Sonya orders a hamburger. Stephen grabs the donations and runs. The woman waits for the burger and
then meets up with the robber in the parking lot. They are there long enough for
5 people to get the license number and the vehicle description. Police nabbed the
pair a short time later nearby. Sonya and Stephen were ID’d by the witnesses. Sonya
denied knowing anything about the theft, but Owens who has seen 8 attempts in
10 years with his donation jars wasn’t swayed by her denials. He had set up video
cameras in his store for just such a moment. His response? “In the videotape they
kiss each other right in front of register 1.” Both were arrested on charges of theft.
