Christmas mini holiday camp: Fathers Jose and

Frank along with Sister Alice will host a three-day
Nativity camp for our children (only those enrolled in
our religious education classes or Catholic School…
this is a little reward for their dedication to Jesus).
Our time together will be Monday, Tuesday and

Holiday Grief Gathering
Sunday, November 22
Join us for an informal gathering to share the pain
of loss that is often a part of the upcoming holidays.
You are invited to a gathering after the 12:45 PM
Remembrance Mass on Sunday, November 22, to
discuss/share the difficulties of grief. The gathering
will be in English. All are welcome! Refreshments
will be served.
Cristo La Roca Food Sale:
Our prayer
group Cristo La Roca will host a Food Sale this
Sunday, November 15th from 10:00 AM to
2:00 PM. Please come down to the rectory
basement for delicious Dominican dishes. All
proceeds go to our parish.
Knights of Columbus Turkey Shoot:
The Long Island Council 197 Knights of
Columbus will have their annual Turkey
Shoot at the American Legion Hall, 209
Cross Bay Boulevard, Broad Channel, on Saturday,
November 21st at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7 PM).
Many prizes will be raffled. Free hot dogs, beer and
wine will be served—you may bring in goodies for
your table. Admission is free, but please bring a can of

Meeting of any society that fund-raises in the
church:
We need to repeat and re-iterate the
expectations of any group that does fundraising in front
of, or in the basement of our church. Thank God things
are excellent here in Blessed Sacrament, but they’re not
perfect. Therefore, if each group could send 2 or 3
representatives to a meeting here in the rectory on

familia) es el sábado 19 de diciembre.
Sociedades: si tu grupo hace algo para recaudar
fondos aquí en la iglesia (rifa, venta de comida, etc.
…) entonces tenemos que pedir que mandes a dos o
tres representantes a una reunión el jueves 19 de
noviembre a las 7:45pm. Los asuntos del ‘dinero’
salen bien, pero no son perfectos. Gracias por la

Dedicate Annual Memorial Candles, as a beautiful
remembrance for your loved ones. A donation of
$125.00 will include the name of your loved one on an
individual plaque. The candle will burn for one full
year. Arrangements may be made at the Rectory or call

Food Drive:
Our Food Pantry is in dire need of
canned goods. We are at risk of closing the pantry due
to lack of food. Please be generous and donate. NonPerishable items only for example, vegetables, soup,
milk, juice, tuna/chicken, peanut butter, beans, rice,
pasta, etc. The boys of our scouting troops will be at the
back of the Church to help collect your donations before
all the Masses on Sunday, November 15 and 22. Thank
you for your generosity.

devotions on the first Saturday of each
month. Next Saturday, December 5, we
invite all who would like to attend – for the
entire day or only for a little while, to pray
the continuous rosary in the chapel in the
basement of the church.
