Our parish will participate in the
evangelization program Arise – Together in
Christ. All are invited to pray for the
program and for the people who need our
invitation to a more active participation as Christians and
Catholics in the parish community.
You’re invited to the Jubilee Celebration in Honor
of Our Mother of Perpetual Help on Saturday,
September 17, at the National Shrine of the
Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. We
will be renting buses, leaving from OLPH at
approximately 7 AM, and returning approximately 10 PM.
Special events of the day include a Perpetual Help novena,
tours of the Basilica, Mass at 2 PM with Archbishop Tobin,
followed by a reception to Honor Our Mother of Perpetual
Help, complete with heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, dessert
and coffee. The cost of the complete trip, including bus fare
and reception, is $55. If you are interested in joining us on
this trip, you may come to the rectory to make your
reservation, along with a $10 deposit.
The OLPH Circle of Friends next trip will be to
Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, on Thursday,
July 28. The bus will leave from in front of the
Church (5th Avenue between 59th & 60th St) at
9:30 AM, and will return 6 hours from arrival time. The cost
of the bus is $40, which includes bus fare and $25 free slotplay.

reservations. If you are paying in cash, Sister Lucille will
instruct you how to get the payment to her. Please do not
leave cash at the rectory. No seat reservation is final until full

Foundations for Ministry Program, a 10-week, 20-hour
course in Theology and Spirituality for Ministry, will take
place in the Fall, 2016. This course is designed for those who
are thinking of enrolling in the 3-year Lay Ministry Program,
for Pastoral Council members, and for others involved or
wanting to be involved in parish ministries. The course fee is

GOD DAY PILGRIMAGE: On Sunday, August 7, there will
be a bus going to The National Blue Army Shrine of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary in Washington, NJ, to honor our
Heavenly Father, Supreme Creator and Ruler of Life. The

Certificate. All families must be registered in the parish (taken care
of first at the rectory, then bring your new parish registration card).
The fee is $65 for one child, $95 for two, and $115 for three or more.
In order to register your child you have to pay 50% of the registration

Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro el sábado,

Santuario Nacional de la Inmaculada
Concepción en Washington, D.C. Los buses
saldrán de la parroquia a las 7 AM y volverán a las 10
PM aproximadamente. Los eventos especiales de la
celebración incluyen la Novena de N. S. del Perpetuo
Socorro, un tour de la Basílica, la Santa Misa a las 2 PM
precidida por el Arzobispo de Indianápolis, Mons. Joseph
Tobin, C.Ss.R., seguido por una recepción en honor de
Nuestra Madre del Perpetuo Socorro con aperitivos,
cerveza, vino, postres y café. El costo del viaje completo,
que incluye el bus y la recepción, es de $55.00. Si le
interesa participar en esta celebración, hay que hacer su
reserva en la rectoría con un depósito de $10.
VIRTUS es un programa de entrenamiento
de personas que tienen contacto con niños y
jóvenes menores de 18 años, como también
con adultos vulnerables, para que los vigilen
en prevención de abusos físicos, sexuales u otras formas
de abuso. El Programa de Ambiente Seguro ayuda a
adultos a percatar signos de abuso sexual de menores,
controla quienes pueden trabajar con menores, vigila
todas los programas para menores, ayuda a los adultos a
tratar con menores, y explica cómo comunicar cualquier
preocupación de sospecha de abuso sexual de algún
menor. Es obligatorio para todas las personas en nuestra
parroquia que trabajan con niños y jóvenes menores de
18 años, sea como personal de la parroquia o como

del Consejo Pastoral, y para personas ya activas – o deseosas
