Weekend Hospital Communion
Ministers are needed. This is a very
rewarding ministry. The patients
really appreciate the opportunity
to receive communion while in the
Hospital. Please see Pat or email
at albrecht @dor.org. Training is
available.
Last Rosary and Altar Society meeting until September
will be WEDNESDAY, May 25th. We will say the Rosary
at 4:45 pm in the Chapel, Mass to follow at 5:15 pm.
Dinner will be at 6:15 pm at the The Corner Tavern. Dinner reservations are requested. Please call Theresa McCue

Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes and Catholic Charites of
Wayne County are seeking a dynamic individual willing to
serve in the capacity of Justice and Peace Coordinator for two
agencies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for matters of
social justice, familiarity with Catholic Social Teaching, and a
willingness to work with Catholic parishes and area faithcommunities to identify and address matters of social justice.
This is a part-time position (approximately 22 hours/week).

¿Qué? ¿Santísima Trinidad?
Tantas veces empezamos nuestra oración con la señal de la
cruz: en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo.
Amén. Esta oración se hace mientras la persona se persigna,
es decir, hace la señal de la cruz desde la frente al pecho y
desde el hombro izquierdo al derecho. Estamos mostrando
nuestra fe en todo lo que Jesucristo había enseñado y en sus
obras de redención. ¿Nos persigamos conscientes de que las
palabras que pronunciamos expresan un acto de fe en la Santísima Trinidad? El misterio de la Santísima Trinidad, un
sólo Dios en tres Personas distintas, es un misterio central de
la fe y de la vida cristiana, pues es el misterio de Dios en Sí
mismo. Y si creemos verdaderamente en la Trinidad, ¿nos
persigamos sabiendo que este acto de fe en la Santísima Trinidad nos compromete no solo a creer en ella, sino a tratar de
vivir de acuerdo con su voluntad?
Nuestras celebraciones litúrgicas empiezan con la señal de
la cruz, y espero por hacerlo, estemos declarando que vivimos, actuamos, nos movemos en el poder y la acción de Dios
Trino. Aceptamos esta revelación en la fe, espero que llenos
de agradecimiento y admiración; la aceptamos sin comprenderla. ¿Cómo puede ser—tres personas en un Dios? Al comenzar nuestra vida trinitaria por el Bautismo nuestros padres confesaron su fe en ese misterio de la Trinidad. Desde
nuestro bautismo hemos llegado a reconocer la especialidad
de cada persona de la Trinidad, sin quitar de ellos todo lo que
Dios hace para nosotros. Durante el bautismo de Jesús los
cielos se abrieron: el Espíritu Santo bajo sobre él y del cielo
vino una voz: “Tú eres mi Hijo, hoy te he dado la vida.” Por
medio de los evangelios llegamos a conocer a Jesús quien
dijo que era el Hijo de Dios. Jesús dijo que iba a enviar desde el seno de su Padre el Espíritu de la Verdad que iba a
guiar a sus discípulos a la Verdad plena, él glorificaría a Jesucristo.
De a poco en la Iglesia primitiva se formuló este concepto
de la Trinidad. Todo viene del Padre, origen y fuente eterna;
todo viene por medio de Cristo, el Camino, la Verdad y la
Vida; todo viene en el Espíritu Santo, fuerza, vida, luz, transformación y testimonio. Podríamos decir que en toda esta
acción del Espíritu, todo va por Cristo al Padre. Padre, Hijo y
Espíritu Santo tienen la misma naturaleza, la misma divinidad, la misma eternidad, el mismo poder, la misma perfección; son un sólo Dios. Además, sabemos que cada una de las
Personas de la Santísima Trinidad está totalmente contenida
en las otras dos, pues hay una comunión perfecta entre ellas.
Esta fiesta de hoy de la Santísima Trinidad nos ayuda a
agradecer a Dios por este dinamismo que celebramos cada
domingo en la Eucaristía. Usted, ¿cómo hace la señal de la
cruz?

Dear Parish Family,
Today is our final class sessions for faith
formation, youth ministry, and children’s liturgy
of the word.
The year has gone smoothly and I would like to
thank the following catechist for their time and
talent that they offer for the youth of our
parish: Sue Joslyn, Chris Taylor, Katerina Joslyn,
Peg Busby, Kerry Vitaro, Brian Donnelly, Henry
Banker, Jen Bel, Kathy Zappia, and Nicole
Gansz. I also would like to thank the youth
helpers: Anthony Diamond, Alex Taylor, Evie
Childs, Liam Childs, Natalie Acquista, Ian and
Lauren MacTaggart. Your participation in the
children’s ministries we offer is greatly
appreciated.

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to
join in the fun at Seabreeze
amusement and water park! The
cost per person is $15, $10 toward
the cost of the pass and $5 toward
the cost of the pizza. We also ask
that each youth bring a snack and
beverage to share with the group.
Registration forms are available in
the gathering space, so please fill
out and return to June as soon as possible so she can
order the tickets. If you have any questions, please call
June at the Parish Center.
Please note: you must be an active participant in parish life
in order to participate in social activities. Also, if you
invite a friend, they must pay the full amount for their
admission ticket of $19.50. Thank you!
