Book Fair Contests Family Shopping Night!!! Thursday, October 22

The Annual Desmares Fall Book Fair will be held from Tuesday, October 20th to Thursday, October 22nd in the School Library. Students will be able to purchase books with their class during the Book Fair Week. If you would like your child to purchase books during their class visit, PLEASE remember to send in cash or a check made payable to Desmares PTO with your child to school on their scheduled day. All parents are welcome to shop during their child’s class visit. Class schedule is listed on the back of this flyer. Book Fair Contests • Dress as monster and you will have a chance to WIN a FREE BOOK!
• Guess how many monster eyeballs are in the jar…a winner from each grade
level will receive a FREE POSTER!
Family Shopping Night!!! Thursday, October 22nd from 6 pm to 8:00pm Mrs. Weil, our School Librarian, will be available to discuss appropriate selections for your
child’s reading level.
Coin Collection Contest From Mon. October 12th – Fri. October 16th there will be collection boxes in the classrooms
where students can donate their change to purchase books for the needy in our community. The
grade level which collects the most change will win a Crazy Hair/Pajama Day and each teacher
in that grade level will get a free book for their classroom library. In addition, for every
dollar that we collect, Scholastic donates 1 book to those in need. Thank you for supporting
this program.
Se celebrará la feria annual del libro de Desmares martes, 20 de octubre al jueves, 22 de octubre en la Biblioteca de la escuela. Los estudiantes serán capaces de comprar libros con su clase durante la semana de la Feria del libro. Si desea que su hijo/a compre libros durante su visita con la clase, por favor recuerde enviar un cheque pagadero a Desmares PTO con su hijo/a a la escuela en su día programado o en efectivo. Todos los padres son bienvenidos a la tienda durante la visita de clase de su hijo. Venga a la Noche de la Familia y la Sra Weil, nuestra Bibliotecaria Escolar, estará disponible
para hablar sobre selecciones apropiadas para el nivel de lectura de su hijo.
¡ Concurso de colección de monedas! Del lunes 12 de octubre – el viernes 16 de octubre habrá alcancías en las aulas donde los
estudiantes pueden donar sus monedas para comprar libros para los más necesitados de nuestra
comunidad. El nivel de grado que recoge más cambio ganará un día de pelo loco/ día de pijama y cada
maestro en ese grado recibirá un libro gratis para su biblioteca de aula. Además, por cada dólar
que recogemos, Scholastic Donará 1 libro a aquellos en necesidad. Gracias por apoyar este
programa.
