El negocio de las cadenas de comida rápida y a domicilio mantuvo en
2009 una evolución positiva, si bien continuó la tendencia de
desaceleración en el crecimiento de la facturación, motivada por el
menor número de aperturas y la debilidad del consumo privado.
Así, al cierre de 2009 el volumen de negocio total de los
establecimientos se situó en 2.565 millones de euros, lo que supuso un
2% más que en 2008, año en el que creció en torno a un 4%.
La facturación de las hamburgueserías se cifró en 1.240 millones de
euros en 2009, registrando el comportamiento más dinámico, al crecer
un 5,1% respecto a 2008. Por su parte, el segmento de pizzerías
experimentó un descenso del 4%, hasta alcanzar un valor de 570
millones de euros.
Las ventas de las bocadillerías registraron un crecimiento del 2,3% en
2009, situándose en 450 millones de euros, mientras que el grupo de
otros establecimientos generó un negocio de 305 millones de euros,
un 1,7% más que en 2008.

published more recent info.

Telepizza does not fit into the fast food sector as there are important differences
that are far from this market: We only offer products on demand and customer
tastes, and are never made based on consumption. The average time from our room

New York .- The U.S. chain of fast food restaurants in talks with various private equity firms face a
potential sale of the second largest company in the sector, according to the newspaper 'The Wall
Street Journal, citing people familiar with operation.
"The evolution of the talks is unclear, although one of the entities concerned would be the British
fund 3i," said the sources.
Since 2006, Burger King traded company, although it had previously passed through the hands of
private capital. In fact, in 2002 a group led by TPG Capital, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital
Partners acquired the company to Diageo for about $ 1,500 million (1,175 million euros), which still
controls a 32% stake in the restaurant chain and maintains a significant representation on the board.
Today, Burger King's market capitalization amounted to U.S. $ 2,260 million (1,770 million euros) and
