Since Fr. Zach and Fr. Ivan will be departing for
their new assignments after next Sunday, we will have a
big party reception for them right after the 5:00 pm Mass
and will start the program promptly at 6:30. Since the
“shows” will start at 6:45, you don’t want to be late and
miss them! The party will include finger food, cake and
punch. You will be able to greet both priests. See the
“Farewell” announcement later in this bulletin. Fr. Zach will
be serving in Mary Immaculate parish in Farmers Branch;
however, he will be spending the month of July in Nicaragua
learning even more Spanish. Fr. Ivan will be serving in St.
Pius X parish where Dallas, Garland and Mesquite meet.
We will miss them tremendously! On July 1 we will receive
Fr. Lauro Gonzalez.
Happy Father’s Day to all happy fathers! We give
you thanks for the gift of life and the gift of love.
Next weekend the special collection that will be
taken up all over the Catholic world is called Peter’s Pence.
Started years ago even as early as the ninth century,
Catholics send donations to support the Pope’s charitable
work especially to help those experiencing natural and
political disasters. I am sure that you have been hearing
about so many people displaced by wars in the Middle East,
immigrants forced from their homes in Africa, Burma, and
numerous trouble spots in the world. Please help Pope
Francis administer the charity of the Catholic world.
Monday through Friday of this week our children
will have a very exciting Vacation Bible School. Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me,” and come they will with
great joy. Please pray for these children, that the Lord may
draw them ever closer to himself.

nuevas asignaciones después del próximo domingo, tendremos una fiesta/recepción especial para despedirlos
después de la Misa de 5:00 pm, el programa comenzará

¡Feliz Día del Padre a todos los felices padres! Les
agradecemos por el regalo de la vida y el regalo del amor.
El próximo fin de semana la colecta especial que se
realizará en todas las iglesias católicas es llamada la Colecta
de San Pedro. Comenzó hace varios años a comienzos del
siglo IX, los católicos enviaron donaciones para apoyar el
trabajo de caridad del Papa especialmente para ayudar a
aquellos que han experimentado algún desastre natural y
político. Estoy seguro que ustedes han escuchado de mucha gente desplazada por las guerras del Medio Oriente,
inmigrantes desalojados de sus hogares en África, Burma y
numerosos lugares de conflicto en el mundo. Por favor
ayuden al Papa Francisco a administrar la generosidad, como católicos, los recursos en todo el mundo.
Agradecemos a los voluntarios y familias que participaron en el Campamento de Verano en español, en especial a Cris Fanous quien coordinó el campamento, aunque no estuvo presente por situaciones de salud. Gracias a
su maravilloso equipo quien tomó su lugar.

DIOCESAN SPECIAL NEEDS MASS
The Diocese of Dallas Disabilities Ministry will host an annual
Bishop’s Mass for people with disabilities. This Mass will be held
this year at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on June 27 th
at the 5 pm anticipatory Mass. Bishop Farrell will be the presider. All are welcome.
FAITH FORMATION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
As adult Catholics, we really want to
make sure that our children know, love,
and faithfully live our Catholic Faith. To
aid this, we need your help in our Faith
Formation Program! St. Francis relies
on approximately 600 volunteers to
serve over 2500 Faith Formation students. We are in need of Catechists,
Aides, Team Leaders, and Substitutes
for the 2015-2016 year. No experience
is necessary as all training is provided. Please prayerfully consider being a part of our Faith Formation Team! For further information regarding volunteer opportunities, please visit our website and click on the Faith Formation tab.
If you are unable to volunteer but would like to register your
children in Faith Formation, Faith Formation Registration for the
2015-2016 year is currently open for parishioners who are actively giving of time, talent and treasure as outlined on our
website. General Faith Formation registration will open on June
29.

In honor of both Father Ivan and Father Zach, the
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Community will be providing a
formal farewell on Sunday, June 28, 2015 after the 5pm
