CAN YOU PRAY WITH ME FOR ONE HOUR?
Our Adoration Prayer Ministry is in need of your
help. Corpus Christi Parish offers Adoration before
the Blessed Sacrament on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday from 8:00 – 4:00 pm. It is preferable to
have at least 2 -3 people scheduled for each hour. We are in
great need of additional prayer volunteers on the following days
and times. Please call the parish office at 713 667 0497 and let
us know what day and time works best for you.
Volunteers needed Mondays 2:00—3:00 pm, Wednesdays

NEWS FROM CORPUS CHRISTI SCHOOL
Corpus Christi School has new bleachers and
benches on the soccer field, books are going on
the shelves, desks and chairs are being placed;
we are getting ready for the new school year! Be sure to check
the last Colt Classified for the summer reading list, we want our

AROUND THE ARCHDIOCESE
Café Catholica 2012 - Café Catholica is a dinner-lecture series
for young adults, featuring dynamic speakers. The Cafe is held
for four consecutive Mondays. This year it will be at St. Anne
Church, (2140 Westheimer Rd. Houston, 77098) from July 9th –
30th . We begin each evening with Mass at 6:15, followed by
food at 7:15, speaker at 8:15, table exhibits, and socializing.
Come for all or part of the evening! About 400 people attend
each night. Donations are appreciated. This year’s dates and
themes are:
July 23: The Word With Friends (Telling Our Story With Christ
The Living Word) - Laura Laine, spiritual director, Sophia Grace

July 30: Draw Something Deep (Living With Passion and

Nuestro Ministerio de Adoracion al Santísimo est’a
necesitando su ayuda. El horario de Adoración al
Santísimo que se ofrece en nuestra parroquia es
los lunes, miercoles y viernes de 8:00 am – 4:00
pm. es preferibole contar con 2 0 3 personas para
cada hora. Tenermos una gran necesida de voluntario adicionales en las siguiente hora. Favor de llamar a la oficina parroquial
para darnos a saber que dí y hora les resulta favorables a usted

FORMACION PARA EL
MINISTERIO CRISTIANO
Estamos recordando a todas las personas que
han estado tomando estas clases que es importante que se
registren para el último semestre que se va a iniciar el miércoles 22 de agosto. Gracias por tomar su tiempo para completar
la forma con su información incluyendo el pago de $25 que es
la parte que les corresponde y entregarla en la oficina o con
las personas encargadas antes del 10 de agosto.
Invitamos y animamos a todos los miembros de nuestra
comunidad a aprovechas esta oportunidad de participar en
estas clase de formación que son recomendables para todos
los católicos bautizados para el conocimiento y crecimiento de
su fe. De una manera especial se encomienda a las personas
que sirven en ministerios o les gustaría participar en alguno
que tomen estas clases de formación como preparación a su
compromiso a servir a la obra de Dios. Si desean infamación

PREPARACIÓN PARA LA CONFIRMACIÓN
Jóvenes del 9º Grado escolar – Muy pronto vamos a empezar a entrevistar a los candidatos para
el Sacramento de la Confirmación. Si sus hijos
están en el 9º. Grado en la escuela y han estado en el Catecismo durante este año, favor de llamar al Sr. Juan Carlos Moreno
al 713-667-0497 para hacer una cita para la entrevista y obtener más información acerca del proceso de preparación.
BAUTISMOS – El próximo bautismo se va a celebrar
el domingo 19 de agosto en la Misa de 1:30 pm siendo
el sábado 18 de agosto la preparación. Padres de
familia de nuestra comunidad, si desean bautizar para
esta fecha es necesario registrarse con anticipación
en la oficina, haciendo una cita previa. Favor de llamar a la
oficina para más información y poder venir a anotarse para

INSCRIPCIONES PARA EL CATECISMO
Empezando el lunes 23 de julio se están realizando inscripciones para el Catecismo, tanto para niños que regresan como
para niños nuevos. Es necesario llamar a la oficina con anticipación para hacer su cita para inscribirse.
Recordemos que el Catecismo es para niños desde Kinder hasta
el octavo grado, tanto para los que quieren prepararse para la
Primera Comunión como para quienes ya hicieron su Primera
Comunión. Favor de llamar a la oficina si desea información
