Descripción
As part of Ritchies contract to stabilise the East Catchments at Gibraltar,
Geobrugg ROCCO® rockfall barriers RX- 150 were installed at several locations.
Above the catchments slope where the main stabilisation was carried out, the
Rock of Gibraltar rises steeply to the summit. This cliff face is subject to
weathering both as a result of the weather and the bird population that nests
extensively on the cliff. It was therefore necessary to install these specialist rockfall
fences in certain key locations to protect the workforce and the public on the road
and in the blocks of flats below.
