sector químico español, cuyos orígenes se remontan al año 1948.
GENERAL QUIMICA S.A., is a company within the
Spanish chemical industry founded in 1948.
Somos una empresa joven y dinámica que a
lo largo de estos años ha conseguido alcanzar
una importancia reconocida en el ámbito
nacional e internacional, en el campo de las
especialidades químicas, gracias a la reconocida calidad de sus productos que contribuyen al
desarrollo de importantes sectores de la
industria.
Este catálogo resume la actividad de la
empresa y trata de explicar también la filosofía
empresarial que impulsa su desarrollo y el
esfuerzo diario para alcanzar nuestros retos:
innovación, tecnología, aseguramiento de la
calidad y buen servicio a los clientes.
The Company, which has a young and
dynamic managerial structure, has achieved

SITUACIÓN/
LOCATION
El complejo fabril de GENERAL QUÍMICA S.A. cuenta
con una extensión de 50 Ha a orillas del río Ebro, en el
pueblo de Zubillaga-Lantarón de la provincia de
Álava. Está junto al nudo de carreteras y autopistas de
Bilbao -Zaragoza - Barcelona e Irún-Burgos-Madrid y
junto al ferroviario de Miranda de Ebro, que permiten
al fácil enlace con toda la geografía nacional e
internacional.
El nivel de equipamiento de nuestras instalaciones
responde a las exigencias y normativas de la industria
química internacional y a nuestra decidida vocación
por mantener el equilibrio ecológico de la zona.
The manufacturing complex of GENERAL QUIMICA S.A.
has an extension of 50 ha. and is situated on the banks
of the Ebro river in the village of Zubillaga – Lantarón, in
the province of Álava. It is located next to important
link roads and the motorways Bilbao-ZaragozaBarcelona and Irún-Burgos-Madrid, as well as the
railway junction at Miranda de Ebro, which provide an
easy connection with the rest of Spain and the foreign
markets.
The facilities are suitably fitted to respond to the
requirements and directives of the international
chemical industry and our determinate vocation for
maintaining the ecological balance in the area.
GENERAL QUÍMICA S.A. es una empresa con
tecnología propia que basa su desarrollo en un gran
esfuerzo de investigación. Dispone de un equipo de
técnicos altamente especializados y colabora en
proyectos de investigación con la Universidad
Española y, por supuesto, con otras empresas del
grupo Repsol.
Como fruto de la adopción de los procedimientos
de calidad más rigurosas, en enero de 1994
GENERAL QUIMICA S.A. obtuvo el Certificado de
Registro de Empresa ER-0010/1994 otorgado por
AENOR (Asociación Española de Normalización y
Certificación) y por IQNET (Asociación Network for
Quality System Assesment and Certification).
Además, en enero de 2010 renueva el certificado
bajo la norma UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008.
Creemos en un futuro en el que las soluciones
técnicas se encuentren en necesario equilibrio con
la naturaleza. Por ello, nuestro continuo compromiso
con el medio ambiente se ve reflejado en el registro
de GENERAL QUIMICA S.A. bajo las normas UNE-EN
ISO 14001:1996 avalado por el Certificado de
Registro de Empresa CGM-02/303 por AENOR
(Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación) y por IQNET (International Network for Quality
System Assessment and Certification).
Completando nuestra firme apuesta por la mejora
continua y el máximo rigor y control en nuestros
Sistemas de Gestión, GENERAL QUIMICA S.A. cuenta
también con Certificación en los Requisitos OHSAS
18001:1999 (Occupational Health and Safety
Assessment Series) como garantía en el cumplimiento de la Legislación y Normativa vigente y afán en el
máximo control de sus Riesgos de Seguridad y Salud
Ocupacional, en aras de alcanzar la mayor
confianza y confort de colectivos y comunidad

GENERAL QUIMICA S.A. is a company with proprietary technology that bases its development on a big
research effort. It has a highly specialized team of
technicians and collaborates with the Spanish
University in research projects and, of course, with
other companies within Repsol group.
As a result of the rigorous quality procedures
adopted by the company, in January 1994 GENERAL
QUIMICA S.A. obtained the Company Registry
Certificate ER 0010/994 by AENOR (Spanish Standars
and Certification Association) and by IQNET
(International Network for Quality System Assessment
and Certification). In January 2010 renews the
certificate under the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008
We imagine a future in which technical solutions are
in necessary balance with nature. Therefore, our
continuous commitment with the environment is
reflected in the GENERAL QUIMICA S.A. registration
under Standards UNE-EN ISO 14001:1996. Our
company has been awarded with the Registry

chemical products that are essentials for

El sulfuro y sulfhidrato de sodio tienen multitud de aplicaciones industriales:
minería (flotación de minerales), curtidos (agentes de depilado pieles), tratamiento de aguas residuales (agentes secuestrantes de iones de metales pesados),
fabricación de productos químicos y procesamiento de pulpa y papel (proceso
Kraft).
Sodium sulphide and hydrosulphide can be used in many different industrial
applications: mining (flotation of mineral ores), leather tanning (unhairing of
hides), waste water treatment (sequestering agent of heavy metals ions), chemicals manufacturing and pulp and paper processing (Kraft process).

pesados hasta niveles muy bajos.
GENERAL QUIMICA’s range of dithiocarbamates
includes very active biocide products for the

can also be used in water treatment as effective
complexing agents for heavy metal ions including
lead, cadmium, copper, zinc, nickel, silver,
