A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
In today’s second reading, Saint Paul bids us to take comfort
in knowing that when God invites us to pray to him, he
knows our true needs, even if we do not. The Holy Spirit
intercedes and prays for us even if we can’t come up with
appropriate words; even when we don’t have a clue what
to ask for. We are not left alone. Good stewards know that
prayer is an important part of living a life in Christ. The
important thing is to make space for God. Do we let God
into our hearts? Do we make room for the Holy Spirit to
pray within us?

WWME Love & Respect Marriage Workshop—August 2
Engaged and married couples are invited to attend a marriage workshop on Saturday, August 2, 9 a.m.- 5 PM, in the Parish Hall. The workshop costs $30 per
couple which includes workbooks and boxed lunch. The workshop is based on
the Love & Respect Conferences and award-winning book, Love & Respect, by
Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. The message of Love & Respect reveals that women
have a desire to feel loved, and men have a desire to feel respected. Come learn
the ways that spouses communicate and interact, and tools on how to resolve

Our capital campaign total continues to grow, this week we have
reached $3.9 million dollars!
Thank you to everyone who has made their sacrificial gift. The remainder
of the parish should have received their campaign packet in the mail this
past week. The task before us now, as a parish family, is to come
together for the greater good of the parish and its ministry outreach, to
take responsibility for our needs and give cheerfully and generously as
God gives to us. Take time to read about the project, watch the campaign
videos which can be found on our website, read the bulletin which
features Frequently Asked Questions, call the campaign office and ask
questions, but most importantly pray about what your sacrificial gift will
be. Our parish is a strong, vibrant parish….our strength lies in our
numbers, in you who are with us every Sunday, every week participating

Dear Lord, what does marriage have to do with children?
Children are at the very heart of marriage. The “supreme gift” of marriage, a child (GS, no. 50), comes
precisely through the mutual, loving self-gift exchanged between husband and wife. It is only because of their sexual
difference that spouses are able to cooperate with God in the awesome adventure of welcoming a child into the world.
Marriage is not just about satisfying adult desires, but is a pro-child institution. The community of the family is built upon
the communion of the spouses.

virtue co-exist in our world. How do we sow
seeds of virtue and nurture them in ourselves
and others? We do it through our actions: love
and forgiveness rather than anger and
retribution; peace rather than violence; sharing
rather than hoarding. One great need is to help
those coming out of jails and prisons to re-enter
society. How can your parish help our sisters
and brothers grow in virtue?

Sarah’s Hope & Abraham's Promise, a special prayer service for couples struggling with infertility
and/or miscarriage, will be celebrated by Bishop Joe Vásquez on Wednesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. ,
at St. Mary Cathedral Parish. The Office of Pro-Life Activities and Chaste Living invite all to attend and join with these couples in prayer. A reception will be held immediately following. For

It is that time of year again when on-line registration for classes begins. We thank you for allowing us to collaborate
with you in the formation of your children and teens. It is truly an honor. We support you as the primary catechists
and thank you for remembering the promise that you made at your child's baptism -- the promise to raise your children in the
Catholic faith.




On-line Registration will open on August 11 and will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week until August 28, 2014. For details, please see www.saintwilliams.org/registration
Paper Registration in the Church Office begins August 11th and ends on August 28, 2014

Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) is a mobile dental clinic that travels around the
state providing basic dental care (including cleanings, fillings, or extractions), free
of charge, to uninsured Texans. Treatment provided at a TMOM event is focused
on relieving pain. Volunteer dentists examine and will determine the most necessary treatment for each patient. The next TMOM event will be at East View High
School in Georgetown, Texas. Many adult volunteers are needed to assist with
the event ,registration, and traffic flow. Please follow the “Volunteer Opportunities”
