A Message From the Pastor...
In last weekend’s bulletin insert, I stopped to give thanks to our God for all of the people who have contributed their time and
talent to our community over the summer of 2015. These talented men and women have contributed in ways that will forever
transform our Parish’s infrastructure. Their work has set us on a foundation for many years of future success. I am so grateful!
In this weekend’s note, I want to continue with this theme of thanksgiving and acknowledge a very special group of leaders
from our Hispanic community. Two Sundays back, Mrs. Gloria Velasco, Lourdes Sanchez, Lupe Avitia and Mr. and Mrs. Job
Sanchez, as well as numerous others, came together to organize a Plaza fundraiser, an afternoon of food, music, fellowship,
dancing and fun. I don’t think I can say this strongly enough, the afternoon was a smashing success! Not only did we raise
some significant funds for the project, we also saw our number for participating families go over the 900 mark. Praise God!
Over 900 individuals and families have now committed themselves to the financial support of the Plaza. An amazing gift for
future generations of our community! Words really do fall short in capturing the depth of my gratitude for our community’s
leaders, and all who have contributed to the Plaza vision! Thank you! If you have not yet had a chance to make your gift, it is
never too late. Construction begins soon!

En el boletín de la semana pasada, les di gracias a nuestro Dios por todas las personas que han contribuido con su tiempo y
talento a nuestra comunidad durante el verano de 2015. Estos hombres y mujeres talentosos han contribuido de manera que
siempre transformaran la infraestructura de nuestra parroquia. Su trabajo nos ha puesto una fundación que traerá un futuro
exitoso. ¡Estoy muy agradecido!
En la nota de este fin de semana, quiero continuar con este tema de la acción de gracias y reconocer a un grupo de líderes muy
especial de nuestra comunidad Hispana. Dos Domingos atrás, la Señora Gloria Velasco, Lourdes Sánchez, Lupe Avitia y el Sr.
y la Sra. Job Sánchez, así como muchos otros, se unieron para organizar una recaudación de Fondos para la Plaza. Era una tarde
de comida, música, compañerismo, baile y diversión. ¡No creo que tenga las palabras suficientes para expresar lo maravilloso
que fue este evento! No sólo unimos fondos importantes para el proyecto sino también vimos un gran aumento al número de
Familias Participantes, la cual paso la marca de 900. ¡Alabado sea Dios! Más de 900 personas y familias se han comprometido
con el apoyo financiero de la Plaza. ¡Un regalo increíble para las futuras generaciones de nuestra comunidad! ¡Las palabras
realmente quedan cortos en expresar la profundidad de mi gratitud por los líderes de nuestra comunidad, y todos los que han
contribuido a la visión de la Plaza! ¡Gracias! Si usted no ha tenido la oportunidad de hacer su regalo, nunca es demasiado tarde.

for the Lodi Service Center. They are very much

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The
Office of Youth & Young Adult
Ministry is looking for volunteers
interested in serving as part of the Core Team for both the
Life Teen and Edge programs. The Core Team is a vital
part of the planning and carrying out of the various Life
Teen and Edge events. All volunteers in the program must
also complete our Shield the Vulnerable
Program and obtain a fingerprint
clearance through St. Anne’s. If you are
interested in volunteering, or finding out
