This device will benefit the early diagnosis of cancer showing results in a period no longer than one hour. According to Dr. José Luis Hernández López, head of the research team, the analysis of the carcinoma-embryonic antigen is used to detect cancers in the digestive tract, lungs, pancreas, gall bladder and bladder, but clarified that this measurement is only one source of information to help the physician to get a more accurate diagnosis and determine whether a patient has the disease or not. It should be noted that fabotherapics are produced by the IBT-UNAM and the Bioclon Institute, are of great importance to the health sector in Mexico. (Agencia ID) Ebony as a therapeutic agent In order to take advantage of the ebony seed, rich in protein, carbohydrates, low in fat and vitamin C, Dr. Ricardo Alberto Gomez Flores, from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL), made an research to develop an agent which is therapeutic, antioxidant, antibiotic, and anti-tumor and has immunomodulation attributes based on the natural properties in this seed. The research results showed that ebony could be used for mass consumption, either in its natural form, processed or supplemented with other foods. (Agency ID) 52/53
