Join the Boys & Girls Club and spend
the summer having fun!
Camp BGC is gearing up for a summer of fun and excitement. Join us this summer for our new and improved
summer day camp program.
Camp BGC is an enrichment camp that will have the
campers exploring nature, investigating science and discovering hidden talents while building relationships that
will last a lifetime.
Camp BGC offers structured programs related to the
weekly themes. Activities will include nature, cooking,
gardening, arts & crafts, technology, cultural and fine arts,
sports, field trips and organized games. Our camp
program includes high yield learning activities that will help
prepare our youth for the coming school year.
Our afternoon program will also have fun and excitement
as members participate in game room tournaments, prevention programs, organized sports, arts & crafts, gardening and much more! Wet & Wild days will return this year
and members will have the opportunity to enjoy water play
in the park.
Gardening, Cooking and Nutrition
Campers will tend to the herbs, flowers and vegetables in the garden and use them as ingredients in
cooking class.
Discovery Room
The Discovery Room is for kids aged 6-8 years.
During the Summer, we will be offering fun craft
projects and activities such as water play and outside
games.
Running Club
Art
The Art Room will conduct art projects based on each
week’s theme. There will be weekly pottery lessons
as well.
Sports Club
Sports Club meets Tuesday nights from 6 - 8 p.m.
Open to 5th Grade members and older. Games and
contests galore! Sports Club members play volleyball, Frisbee, kickball, pool tournaments and more.
Members can volunteer to set up athletic events and
keep score to earn extra credit points for the semiannual auction and participation in field trips.

celebramos este dia y les invito para participar en el desfile Viernes el 4 de Julio.

6-10 de Julio
Super Detectives
Es tiempo para poner las tapas pensadoras y trabajamos juntos. Los campistas utilizan sus habilidades de la lógica como ellos reúnen los indicios y resuelven los misterios. Viaje al Jack London
State Park.

13-17 de Julio
T.E.A.M Survivor
Juntos todos logran más. El enfoque en este semana es en las habilidades para construir los equipos. Campistas trabajan juntos en equipos para participar en juegos cooperativos. Viaje a Fort Point
y Crissy Field.
27-31 de Julio
Bajo el Mar
Traemos el mar al Club. Campistas estudien vida de océano y ellos hacen un acuario de Camp
BGC. Viaje al Acuario

3-7 de Agosto
 Super Héroes
Quienes son sus super héroes? Este semana
campistas pasen tiempo con super héroes en nuestro comunidad; policia, bomberos, enfermeras y
veterinarios.
10-12 de Agosto Comparta la Etapa
Comparta sus talentos y una la exposición de talento. Damos la bienvenida a todos los talentos inclusive música, el teatro y los títeres. Invitamos todos para participar en un forma o otra.
Camp Mendocino 
Gracias a los donativos generosos de la 2009 Subasta, podemos enviar un grupo de miembros a
Camp Mendocino para una sesión de 10 días este verano. El campamento es poseído y es operado
por el Boys & Girls Club de San Francisco y es situado en un hermoso bosque de la secoya. Los
campistas aprenden el respeto para otros y para sí mismos al ganar las habilidades del carácter y el
liderazgo

Discovery Room
June 15 - June 19 Fun in the Summer Sun!
Start the summer off right with some fun in the sun. Staff will share their favorite hobbies and encourage the campers to discover their own.
Field trip to Jack London State Park

June 22 - June 26 Beach Party Adventure
Campers will learn about ocean habitats before venturing out to the beach to search for ocean life
and lost treasures.
Field trip to Doran Beach.
June 29 - July 3 Red, White & Blue – American Pride
Celebrate with us as we celebrate the 4th of July! Campers will learn why we celebrate the holiday
and will be invited to participate in the town parade on July 4th!
July 6 - July 10 Be a Super Hero!
Who are your super heroes? This week campers will spend time with super heroes in the community;
law enforcement, firefighters, nurses and veterinarians. Campers will learn about Super Heroes past
and present.
Field Trip to Fort Point.
July 13 - July 17 Wide World of Sports & Games
There’s a game for everyone and everyone’s a winner! Campers will have fun this week developing
sportsmanship and discovering new sports & games from around the world.
Field Trip to professional sporting event TBD.
July 20 - July 24
T.E.A.M. Survivor!
Together Everyone Achieves More! The focus this week is on team building skills. Campers will work
together in teams as they participate in fun cooperative games. Field Trip to Sugar Loaf State Park.
July 27 – July 31 Share the Spotlight
Share your talents and join the Clubhouse talent show! All talents invited to join; music, theater, puppetry, sports and juggling to name a few. Everyone is invited to perform or help out in other ways.
Aug. 3 - Aug. 7 Into the Wilderness
Campers will learn about the great outdoors, camping and fire safety. We’ll finish the week with a n
overnight Campout inside the Boys & Girls Club!
Aug. 10-12 Summer Rewind
Kids choose their favorite camp activity from the summer to do again!
Camp Mendocino 
Thanks to the generous gifts from the Fund A Need at the 2009 Sweetheart Auction, we are able to
send a group of kids to Camp Mendocino for a 10 day session this summer. The camp is owned and
operated by Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco and is nestled in the heart of the breathtaking
redwood forest.

Swimming Lessons
Thanks to a partnership with Valley of the Moon Aquatics,
we are offering swimming lessons to our members
Tuesdays 12:30-2:00 p.m.beginning June 18th. We will
transport members to the pool at Hanna Boys Center.
Cost: $25 for 7 lessons.
This program is funded in part by the generosity of the
Fund a Need participants at the Sweetheart Auction.
