The Continuing Commitment to Protect
Children and Young People
As part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
continuing commitment to protect children and
young people, this past year, the Office of
Safeguard the Children trained 30,514 adults
and 166,850 children in the VIRTUS® Child
Sexual Abuse Prevention Programs. In addition
the Fingerprinting Department completed background checks on approximately 10,000 new
clergy, employees and volunteers.

the Senate Health and Judiciary Committees and is
headed to the Senate floor for a vote.

Practice HSPT at Bellarmine-Jefferson
High School: We are pleased to offer junior high
students the opportunity to take a practice High
School Placement Test (HSPT)
on Saturday, May 2, 2015,
from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
This is your chance to experience the actual
content, practice your time-management skills
and gauge your current proficiency in
preparation for the official exam in January
2016. All test takers will be invited back after
the test to speak with a Bell-Jeff administrator
about your scores. The cost is $20 and walk-ins
are welcome on the day of the test.

legislative visits to Assembly Members.

legislator to stand for the value and dignity of
the sick and elderly and disabled?
