Let’s join together in prayer to ask Christ’s healing
for each other, our parish, and our world. We especially need Him to be reborn into all of our hearts at
this time of year. He is our Prince of Peace and
Hope no what is going on around us. The Eucharist is our primary source of healing and strength.
Anointing of the Sick will be done during the Mass.
Father will pray over individuals after Mass.

Vamos a unirnos en oración para pedir
sanación de Cristo para, nuestra parroquia y nuestro
mundo. Especialmente, tenemos que renacer en todos
nuestros corazones en esta época del ano. El es nuestro
Príncipe de paz y esperanza, no importa lo que esta sucediendo a nuestro alrededor. La Eucaristía es nuestra
principal fuente de curación y fuerza. Unción de los Enfermos durante la Misa. El Padre hará oración individual
después de Misa.

Waiting...Silence
Esperando...Silencio
Two words that often seem negative in our culture:
Waiting in line, waiting for a paycheck or a package…
Striving to fill the silence with music or talk…
Hurrying through a noise filled day to get to what we want,
or what we think we want.
It takes great effort to slow down and enjoy the journey
along the way and take time to reflect in silence. But the
results can be amazing when we develop the habit.
Dos palabras que a menudo parecen negativos en nuestra
cultura: Esperar en línea, la espera de un sueldo o un paquete... Tratando de llenar el silencio con música o hablar...
Corriendo a través de un día lleno de ruido para llegar a lo
que queremos, o lo que pensamos que queremos.
Se necesita un gran esfuerzo para reducir la velocidad y
disfrutar del viaje en el camino y tomar tiempo para descansar en silencio. Pero los resultados pueden ser sorprendentes
cuando desarrollamos el hábito.

be pure and blameless for the day of

Christ.”
Why are we waiting to decorate the Church for Christmas?
… Because it isn’t Christmas yet!
Advent is its own special season with unique blessings. Christmas is also a season, not just one day. It lasts
from the Vigil on Dec 24th until the Baptism of the Lord on
Jan. 10, with lots of special Feast Days in between.
Waiting to decorate helps us create a simpler, calmer space
to step away from the hustle and bustle of “holiday” activities and prepare to receive Christ’s gift of Himself and
consider what we can give Him in return.
Ideas for Advent:
* Go to Adoration on Wednesday or Holy Hour on Thursday
evening and sit in silence with Christ. Think about how He
spent 9 months silently growing in Mary’s womb to take on
our human frailty.
* Clean out your closet and give away what you don’t really
need to someone that could use it.
* Call someone you had a disagreement with and make
peace.
* Look up the spiritual and corporal works of mercy and see
how many you can practice before Christmas.

Porque estamos esperando para decorar la Iglesia para la
Navidad? … Porque aun no es la Navidad!
Adviento es su propia temporada especial con bendiciones únicas. Navidad es también una temporada, no sólo
de un día. Tiene de duración desde la Vigilia del 24 de diciembre hasta el Bautismo del Señor el 10 de enero, con un
muchos Días de Fiesta entre medio. Esperando para decorar
nos ayuda a crear un espacio más simple ,tranquilo para alejarse del ajetreo y el bullicio de las actividades de "las fiestas"
y nos preparamos para recibir el regalo de Si mismo de Cristo,
y considerar lo que le podemos dar a cambio.
Ideas para Adviento:
* Ir a la Adoracion los miercoles o a la Hora Santa los jueves
por la tarde y sentarse en silencio con Cristo. Pensando en
como el paso 9 meses silenciosamente creciendo en el vientre
de Maria para tomar una fragilidad humana.
* Limpiar su closet y regular todo lo que realmente no necesita.
* Llamar a la persona con la que tuvo un desacuerdo y hacer
la paz.
* Busque las obras espirituales y corporales de misericordia
y ver cuántas puede practicar antes de Navidad.

And amongst the painted roses of the cloak, her beloved image she has left upon it.
Our Lady of Guadalupe
There is much significant symbolism in the image of
Our Lady on St. Juan Diego’s cloak. She is beautifully
appropriate to have in the church during Advent because she is the only approved apparition where Mary
is a pregnant maiden. The black sash she wears is
what noblewomen of the time wore when they were
pregnant. There is also a four-petaled flower on her
tummy that signifies motherhood. But she has her hair
down and loose, not braided, which symbolizes that
she is a virgin. All of this combined with her being in front of the rays
of the sun show that her God is greater than the Aztec sun god and
that she would give birth to the true God of the sun who eclipses what
they believed in. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Nuestra Señora Guadalupe
Hay mucho simbolismo significativo en la imagen de Nuestra Señora
en la tilma de San Juan Diego. Ella es bellamente apropiada para tener en la iglesia durante el Adviento, porque ella es la única aparición
aprobada donde María es una joven embarazada. El cinturón negro
que lleva es lo que las mujeres de nobleza de esa época llevaban cuando estaban embarazadas. También hay una flor de cuatro pétalos en
su panza que significa la maternidad. Pero ella tiene el pelo suelto y
flojo, no trenzado, que simboliza que ella es virgen. Todo esto combinado con su ser al frente de los rayos del sol muestra que su Dios es
más grande que el dios sol Azteca y que ella daría a luz al verdadero
Dios del sol que eclipsa lo que ellos creían. Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe , ruega por nosotros.
