The Prayers to Our Lady of Lourdes will begin
on Tuesday, Feb.2. We have decided to celebrate the Novena in a difference fashion this
year. We will be offering a prayer at every
mass that is offered in the parish from Feb. 2 –
Feb.10. On Thursday, Feb. 11 we will celebrate
a tri-lingual Mass. The Mass will be followed
by a healing service. The Novena is changed
from previous years due to some unforeseen interruptions in planning.
Las oraciones a Nuestra Señora de Lourdes
comenzarán el martes 2 de Feb. Hemos decidido celebrarla de modo diferente este año.
Estaremos ofreciendo una oración en cada
misa que se ofrezca en la parroquia del 2 al 11
de Febrero. El jueves 11 de Febrero tendremos una misa tri-lingue a las 7 pm seguido por
un servicio de sanación. La Novena ha cambiado de lo acostumbrado en años pasados debido
a interrupciones imprevisibles en la planeación.
The miracles of Lourdes began with eighteen
apparitions of the Blessed Mother in southern
France. These appearances took place to a poor,
fourteen year old girl named Bernadette
Soubirous. By invitation of the Blessed Mother,
Bernadette was led to a hidden spring of water
that became a source of healing for all believers.
Pilgrims from all over the world continue to visit
the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes to this day. It is
the most visited pilgrimage site in the world.
Each year, we have had visitors from several parishes join us for our healing service following the
mass in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes on Feb. 11.

Los milagros de Lourdes comienzan con dieciocho apariciones de la Madre Bendita en el sur de
Francia. Estas apariciones le sucedieron a una
muchacha pobre de 14 años llamada Bernadette
Soubirous. Por invitación de la Madre Bendita,
Bernadette descubrió un manantial escondido de
agua que se convirtió en la fuente de sanación
para todos los creyentes. Peregrinos de todo el
mundo continúan visitando el Santuario de N.S. de

Once again, I join with a very committed team
on the Stewards in Action committee in inviting
your support of our Dinner Dance on Sat. Feb. 6.
As of earlier this week, we still had some tables
open for the dinner dance. We invite you to consider a purchase of raffle tickets or to simply
make a donation for this annual dinner dance. We
are grateful to all our parishioners and friends of
the parish for your support. This year is particularly important as we have been facing some very
difficult financial challenges. We have lost about
40% of our income as a result of the loss of rental
income from our school and convent buildings.
Thus our dinner dance is more important than
ever.
Una vez más me uno al muy comprometido equipo
de los Mayordomos en Acción en invitarlos a dar
apoyo a nuestra Cena Baile el Sábado 6 de Febrero.
Al comienzo de esta semana todavía teníamos mesas
abiertas para la Cena Baile. Los invitamos a que compren un ticket de la rifa o que simplemente hagan
una donación a este evento anual. Agradecemos a
todos nuestros parroquianos y amigos de la parroquia por su apoyo. Este año es especialmente importante porque encaramos retos financieros difíciles.
Hemos perdido el 40% de ingreso a resultado de la
pérdida de renta de los edificios de la escuela y del
convento. Es por eso que nuestra Cena Baile es más
importante que nunca.
