New Pre-Kindergarten Progra m
New Mass Intention Cards!
St. Andrew Church has new mass intention cards available for special intentions or deceased. Please come
to the Pastoral Center or Gift Shop to pick one up
whenever you wish to offer a mass. Thank you!
Our parish school is excited to offer a Pre-Kindergarten program for the 2016-2017 school year.
The program will be open to 3 and 4 year olds
and will prepare them for Transitional Kindergarten. Ms. Maria Rennard is “looking forward to an
exciting time and new adventures with the Pre-K
children.” The Pre-Kindergarten program will encompass a variety of readiness experiences to
foster and promote social, emotional, spiritual,
physical and intellectual development of young
children. There will be a brand new, state of the
art classroom designed specifically to accommodate the needs of the Pre-K students and provide
for 21stCentury Learners.

Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity
The goal of the Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity is service to the “neediest of the needy,” those for
whom no other resources exist. Service to individuals
and families in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is the
Cardinal McIntyre Fund’s highest priority. Provision of
food, shelter, one-time assistance to families in crises:
such as assistance with medical, funeral expenses, are
appropriate as funds allow and as recommended by
those who are familiar with the area/persons.
In other words, the “Fund” provides emergency help
to persons who have nowhere else to go.
The Fund is not a replacement or supplement for welfare or other forms of public assistance. It does not
support persons’ living needs on a continuing basis.
Rather the Fund acts to solve immediate, pressing
problems. Food and milk for three days. Lodging for
the night. Emergency medical care. Rent to tide over
a financial crisis. A utility bill to keep the water or heat
turned on for the week.
You are their hope! Your gift provides a one-time emergency help for Food, Utilities, Transportation, Medical,
Housing or Funeral Expenses.
We will be having this Second Collection on April
30th- May 1st at All Masses. Thank you for your generous contribution.

MAGNIFICAT will be hosting a brunch on Saturday,

Parent’s Corner: More on what your teen is learning
in One8 Confirmation!
Retreat time is here! This year’s Confirmation retreat is
based on the seven heavenly virtues; the goal of this
retreat is to help candidates identify how they will live
out these virtues in their life as an extension of the
grace they receive in the sacraments. They will leave
understanding that living out these virtues is essential
to their spiritual lives; in our world, it is no less than
heroic.
Year 1: Saturday, April 9th from 8-5pm
Year 2: Saturday, April 16th from 8-5pm
We will be holding both retreats at the St. Joseph
Campus located at the Sacred Heart Retreat House is
Alhambra, California. Please keep our candidates in
your prayers as they prepare their hearts for the sacrament of Confirmation this May!
Year 2: Confirmation Mass is set for Saturday, May
14th at 5:00pm.

Nuestra escuela parroquial se complace en ofrecer
un programa de Pre-Kinder para el año escolar 20162017. El programa estará abierto a niños de 3 y 4 años
de edad y los preparará para el Kinder de Transición.
Sra. María Rennard está "a la espera de un momento emocionante y nuevas aventuras con los niños de
Pre-K." El programa de Pre -Kinder abarcará una variedad de experiencias de preparación para fomentar
y promover el desarrollo social, emocional, espiritual, físico y intelectual de niños pequeños. Habrá una
nueva clase de arte diseñado específicamente para
dar cupo a las necesidades de los estudiantes de Pre
- K y proveer a los Estudiantes del siglo 21.

Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity/ Fondo de
Caridad del Cardenal McIntyre
El objetivo del / Fondo de Caridad del Cardenal McIntyre es el servicio a los "más necesitados de los necesitados", aquellos para los cuales no existen otros recursos. El servicio en la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles a
las personas y familias es el Fondo McIntyre, una alta
prioridad. Lo que provee son suministro de alimentos,
refugio de una sola vez, asistencia a las familias en crisis: como ayuda con los gastos médicos, funerarios,
etc. En otras palabras, el "Fondo" proporciona ayuda
de emergencia a las personas que no tienen otro lugar
a donde ir.
El Fondo no es un sustituto o un suplemento para el
bienestar u otras formas de asistencia pública. No es
compatible con las necesidades de personas a una
base continua. Más bien, el Fondo actúa para resolver problemas urgentes. Alimentos durante tres días.
Alojamiento para pasar la noche. Atención médica de
emergencia. Una factura de servicios públicos para
mantener el agua o la luz durante la semana.
Usted es su esperanza! Su regalo proporciona una
ayuda de emergencia de una sola vez para alimentos,
servicios públicos, transporte, medicina, vivienda o
gastos fúnebres.
Vamos a tener esta Segunda Colecta el 30 de abril -1
de mayo en todas las misas. Gracias por su generosa
contribución.
