Lone Rose Sunday: This Weekend
The Knights of Columbus annual appeal for donations to the Crisis
Pregnancy Centers will be after all Masses this weekend. Please donate
generously to this very worthwhile cause. The red rose that will be carried to the altar at all Masses represents the lives of the over 56 million
babies who have been aborted in the United States over the last 42
years.

Blood Drive Sign-Up: This Weekend
We are planning another blood drive in conjunction with Carter Blood

NEW DAY GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP began
on January 6th and meets for 9 consecutive
Tuesdays, 7PM – 8:30PM, St. Mark Parish
Center, 1105 W. 15th St. New Day is for
anyone who has lost a loved one to death. Participants work
through the tasks of grief in an atmosphere of caring and
understanding. Cost: $20 (workbook). Registration required. Call

Meet and Greet Knight: January 13
Our Council is holding its monthly “Meet and Greet Knight” on Tuesday,
January 13 beginning at 5:30PM. This fun event is held every second
Tuesday at Tino’s Two restaurant. All Knights, whether members of
Council 6065 or not, please attend and share this evening of camaraderie with your brother Knights.
Roe v. Wade Memorial Mass: January 17
Dallas will mark the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion in America and leading to the death of over 55 million unborn children with a special Mass on January 17, 2015. Due the ever-increasing
size of this event, Bishop Farrell moved the Roe Memorial Mass to
the convention center in Dallas last year (seating 9,000!) beginning at
1PM.
Join Bishops Kevin Farrell, Michael Olson and thousands of people of
faith to pray for an end to the scourge of abortion on our city and country,
to witness publicly, and rally and march for a Culture of Life. This year’s
theme is “On the Road to Victory!”
The schedule of events includes Memorial Rosaries, a Youth Rally, the

Los invitamos a participar en la Formación para Adultos. Estas
oportunidades ayudan a crecer en nuestra relación con Jesús,
conocer las enseñanzas de la Iglesia, y formar comunidad con
otros miembros del Cuerpo de Cristo.
Se ofrecerá las Sagradas Escrituras – presentada por Padre Henry para todas las personas de 18 años de edad y mayor que deseen conocer más profundamente su fe, los bautizados que quieran responder a su compromiso cristiano. 2015 Roe Memorial Events
Roe Memorial Events, January 17, 2015: Join Bishops Farrell and Olson and thousands of North Texas faithful in
marking the 42nd anniversary of the tragic January 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision, which
made abortion available on demand in America. The theme of this year’s events is “On the Road to Victory!” and
the schedule of events is as follows:
10:30AM - 12PM Roe Memorial Rosaries outside the Southwestern abortion facility, 8616 Greenville Ave, Dallas
(parking available on Boundbrook Ave and Gaston Oaks Baptist Church parking lot) and the new Planned Parenthood abortion facility, 7989 West Virginia Dr, Dallas (street parking available)
12:15PM Youth Rally at the Convention Center in Dallas, 650 S Griffin St, featuring World Youth Day musician
Curtis Stephan (Doors open at 11:30AM)
1PM Roe Memorial Bilingual Mass concelebrated by Bishop Kevin Farrell, Bishop Michael Olson, and diocesan
clergy at the Convention Center in Dallas (seating for 9,000!) with Fr. Benjamin Cieply, L.C. as homilist and music
led by Curtis Stephan.
3PM North Texas March for Life from convention center (following Mass) to ecumenical Rally outside the Earle
Cabell Federal Courthouse
Bishop Farrell would like for as many families and young people as possible to participate in this great witness for Life!
Everyone is encouraged to ride DART Rail – the most convenient transportation directly to the convention center station!
Volunteers are needed, particularly Knights of Columbus, parish ushers and police or security officers.
