INSTRUCTIONS
Using size 11 needles and INOX “LACE” cast
on 95 sts, change to size 10 needles and work
1 row in stockinette st then cont in pattern (following graph A).
When shawl measures 70 7/8”/ 180 cm, change
to size 11 needles and bind/cast off all sts.
Frill:
Note: GRACE is worked at the edge without the
silver decoration working 2 sc in each ring.
Cut the GRACE tape in half, mark the centre
and the 1/4’s of each tape.
Mark the centre and 1/4’s from the start and
finish of the shawl in the same way.
Place one of the GRACE tapes at the start of the
shawl placing the edge without the silver decoration
on top of the right side of work and pin making
sure the centre and 1/4’s match.
Leave 2 rings free at start and finish of tape.
Using 2 strands of INOX “LACE” and crochet
hook B1 work in the following manner: fold the
first 2 rings inwards and insert the crochet hook
through one ring of the frill, insert the hook into
the shawl and work 1 sc, cont joining by working
2 sc in each ring of the frill working the sc stitches
close together.
Match the marks on the frill to the marks on
the shawl.
Fold two rings inwards at the end in the same
manner as done at the beginning.
Cut yarn and fasten off ends.
Make another frill the same at the other end of
the shawl.

Coser puliendo por la parte doblada de GRACE
con hilo de coser.

REALIZACIÓN
Con INOX “LACE” y ag. nº 8 montar 95 p. y a
continuación cambiar a las ag. nº 6 y trab. 1 vta.
a p. jersey der. y continuar trab. a p. fantasía
(según el gráfico A).
A 180 cm. de largo total, cambiar a las ag. nº 8
y cerrar los p.
Volante:
Nota: GRACE se trab. por el borde que no lleva
el adorno plateado, haciendo en cada anilla
2 p. bajos.
Cortar la cinta de GRACE por la mitad, marcar
el centro y los ¼ de cada cinta.
Marcar de igual modo el centro y los ¼ del inicio
y final del chal.
Poner una de las cintas de GRACE en el inicio
del chal, poniendo el borde que no lleva adorno
plateado encima, por el derecho de la labor,
sujetar con alfileres haciendo coincidir los
centros y los ¼.
Al inicio y al final dejar libre 2 anillas de la cinta.
Con INOX “LACE” a 2 hilos y ag, de ganchillo
nº 1,75 mm trab. de la siguiente manera: doblar
las 2 primeras anillas hacia el interior y pasar la
ag. de ganchillo por una anilla del volante, clavar
la ag. de ganchillo en el chal y trab. 1 p. bajo,
seguir uniendo, haciendo 2 p. bajos. dentro de
cada anilla del volante y haciendo los p. bajos
muy seguidos.
Intentar que coincidan las señales del volante
con las del chal.
Trab. al final igual que al inicio doblando 2 anillas.
Cortar el hilo y rematar.
Trab. igual el volante del final del chal.

Sew the folded part of GRACE with sewing thread
to finish it off neatly.
