The RCMA Bonita CDC is such a place. Here there
are talented people developing the best possible place for
our children. Some examples of the excellent teacher
teams at the Bonita Center are Rosalind Minez, Alba
Munguia, Maria de Trevino and Elva Casas.

We were extremely
fortunate to have 24
students (grade 9-12) from
the Academy of Holy
names, a private school of
Tampa Bay, to visit all our
centers in Ruskin and
Wimauma for Spring break
from March 12th-16th.
These young, cheerful,
happy, enthusiastic girls.
Their 4 chaperones proved
to be excellent mentors for
the girls and fairy godmothers for the centers as
they fulfilled all their wishes. Each center’s wish
list, which included classroom educational
materials, plants (herbs, vegetable and flowers)
potting soil, paint, microwave, to washing
machines and heavy duty steam cleaners were
purchased and delivered to the great joy of Center
Coordinators and Teachers.
The girls spent the morning in the classrooms
helping the teachers and interacting with the
children. They also planned for story time and
puppet shows for the children which they
successfully executed.
In the afternoon, they helped with the
transformation of our playground areas to
instantaneous beautiful colorful butterfly, herbs
and vegetable gardens, painted murals, timbers,
and signs. Raked and cleaned out large areas,
filled 12-20 large bags of leaves.
Saying “Thank you” seems too little in relation to
their huge contribution and involvement.
Thankfully when several hearts say it
unequivocally sincerely in unison it makes a
difference.

Contando nuestras Bendiciones
Fuimos muy afortunados
al contar con la pesencia
de 24 estudiantes de
grados (9-12) de la
Academia de Holy names,
una escuela privada de
Tampa Bay,quienes
visitaron
a todos nuestros centros
de Ruskin y Wimauma
para las vacaciones de
primavera;
del12 al 16 marzo. Ellas
son jóvenes,
dinamicas,felices, alegres y entuciastas niñas.
Sus cuatro acompañantes resultaron ser excelentes
mentores para las niñas y las hadas madrinas para los
centros ya que cumplieron con todos sus deseos.Cada
lista de deseo en cada centro, la cual incluia materiales
de educación para las aulas, plantas (hierbas,
hortalizas y flores) tierra de abono para las maceteras,
pintura, horno de microondas, lavadoras de platos,
maquinas de limpieza a vapor para trabajos pesados
fueron comprados y entregados para la gran alegria de
las coordinadoras del centro y las maestras.
Las chicas pasaron las mañanas en las aulas ayudando
a los profesores, interactuando con los niños. Asi
mismo, planearon para la hora de leer cuentos
ofreciendo espectáculos de marionetas para los niños
que fue ejecutado con éxito. Por la tarde, ayudaron
con la transformación de nuestras áreas de juegos
infantiles a
instantánea hermosa mariposa de colores, hierbas y
huertos, pinturas murales, maderas, y los signos.
Rastrillaron y limpiaron las áreas grandes, llenaron de
12-20 bolsas grandes de las hojas secas.
Decir "gracias", parece muy poco en relación
con su enorme contribución y la participación.
Afortunadamente, cuando varios corazones que
dicen inequívocamente con sinceridad al
unísono, se hace una diferencia.

3 Steps Toward a Better
World
Thanks to Early Childhood Educators we
are heading toward a better world.
Look at what the wisdom of early
childhood educators have shown us:
1. The end of violence toward children (No spanking zones)
2. The end of manipulating children by the use of
praise. (We are moving beyond praise)
3. A way of insuring that a child’s impulse to create is
honored (S.O.U.L. is taking over!)
The end of violence: We once thought that “if we
spare the rod we will spoil the child.” The common
stance was that children could not be controlled or
guided unless there was a constant threat of physical
violence. Then we discovered the Art of Childcare! We
realized that there was a much better way of guiding
children. Now, thanks to guidance from those who
deeply understand the Art of teaching thousands of
children are growing up never having felt the
pain of being spanked, slapped or whipped.
This is remarkable because the brains of these
children are different. When a hand goes up in
front of these children they don’t cringe in
fear. To these well cared for children hands
are associated with unconditional love.
Moving beyond praise: There is nothing wrong with
praise unless it is used to control and manipulate a child.
There is nothing wrong with praise unless it is
conditioning a child to become outer-directed. Outer
directed people expect that they will find happiness by
what they get. Inner directed people know the happiness
comes from what they give.
S.O.U.L. is taking over. Children are leading us back
home. If we practice the High Scope S.O.U.L. method
with children then we will join them in a sacred place—a
place where we all speak the same language… a place of
Love… a place where we are all artists… a place that is
our true home. The S… be still… Pause, to be Present!
The O… observe and see with new eyes… The U…
understand at a deeper level… The L… listen to the
child… Let her/him teach you
about what’s it’s like to be a
child again… Now, be ready to
practice the Art of Living...
It’s much easier raising whole
and healthy children then
repairing damaged adults...
3 Pasos hacia un mundo
mejor

Mira lo que la sabiduría de los educadores

El fin de la violencia: una vez pensamos que "si
recambiamos el camino echamos a perder al niño." La
postura común fue que los niños no podían ser
controlados o guiados a menos que hubiera una amenaza
constante de violencia física. Entonces descubrimos el
arte de la guardería! Nos dimos cuenta de que había una
mejor manera de guiar a los niños. Ahora, gracias a la
orientación de aquellos que comprenden
profundamente el arte de enseñar a miles de
niños que están creciendo sin haber sentido
el dolor de ser azotados, abofeteados ó
castigados. Esto es notable porque los
cerebros de estos niños son diferentes.
Cuando una mano se eleva frente a estos
niños no los hacen temblar de miedo. A estos
bien cuidados por las manos de los niños están asociados
con el amor incondicional.
Más allá de los elogios: No hay nada malo con los
elogios a menos que se utilicen para controlar y manipular
a un niño. No hay nada malo con la alabanza a menos que
sea acondicionado para convertir a un niño en exterior dirigido. Personas exteriores -dirigidas se espera que
encuentren la felicidad por lo que reciben. Personas Inter
dirigidas conocen que la felicidad viene por lo que dan.
S.O.U.L. se hace cargo. Los niños nos están llevando
de vuelta a casa. Si practicamos High Scope S.O.U.L.
método con los niños que entonces se unirá a ellos en un
lugar sagrado, un lugar donde todos hablan el mismo
idioma ... un lugar de amor ... un lugar donde todos somos
artistas ... un lugar que es nuestro verdadero hogar. La
S ... que todavía ... Pausa, para estar presente! La O ...
observar y ver con nuevos ojos ... La U ... entender en
un nivel más profundo ... La L ... escuchar al niño ...
Que él / ella te enseñen acerca de lo que se siente al ser
un niño otra vez ... Ahora, prepárate a practicar El
Arte
Es más fácil criar hijos enteros y saludables,
que tratar de reparar adultos dañados…
