Show times will be at 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Please make sure your child dresses in red, white, and blue for this special performance. We also wish to invite all veterans to attend one of the shows, so if you have a friend or family member, or if you are a veteran yourself, please come and join us! We hope to see you there! Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A on Wilson Rd – tomorrow, November 5th from 3:00 - 8:00 pm. Fall Creek Elementary will receive 20% of all sales. Remember you can dine-in or drive thru. All students are expected to attend school regularly and be on time to class. Please remember that the tardy bell rings at 8:05am. If a student arrives after 8:05am they are required to check-in at the front office and receive a tardy pass. In 2013, 8424 individuals received Holiday Food Bags at HAAM and 3,903 children received toys through the Empty Stocking Toy Drive. Fall Creek Elementary will be collecting donations starting November 10 to December 4th. Please consider sharing your blessings by making a donation. Capilano University SPAIN University of Alicante Gifted & Talented Fall Testing G/T Testing and Referral – Kindergarten Initial assessment of all kindergarten students for the Gifted and Talented (G/T) program will take place between October 20 and November 21. If a student qualifies to take the achievement test, a parent referral and consent form will be sent home. The second test will take place between January 8 and January 30, 2015. The Building Selection Committee will determine placement of kindergarten students in the G/T program by February 6, 2015, with services to begin on February 23, 2015. G/T Referral and Testing – Grades 1-12: Any students in grades 1-12 may be referred for the Gifted/Talented (G/T) program between November 10 and December 12, 2014. Parents or teachers may refer students for testing. If you would like to refer your child, please request information from Laura King, 281-641-3407. Sam’s Soldiers Fight to End Duchenne Fun Run Benefiting: Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) in Honor of Samuel Stander The Standers are residents of Fall Creek, and their 6-year old son Samuel attends 1st grade at Fall Creek Elementary. Sam was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in January of 2013. DMD is a 100% fatal, genetic muscular disorder characterized by progressive muscular degeneration and weakness. PPMD is the largest organization focused on finding a cure for DMD. DMD research currently costs $85 per minute. The funds will help researchers find a cure for Sam and other boys affected with this disease. Our hope is to find a cure in Sam’s lifetime. Register for this race to support the Standers and PPMD. Together, we can end Duchenne.
