Location: Amarillo Civic Center Friday, April 1, 2016 Theme: “God’s Merciful Love” Ephesians 2-4 Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) is an in-depth, private, personal, marriage preparation experience within the context of Catholic faith and values. This is a weekend retreat away with other engaged couples with plenty of alone time together to dialogue deeply and honestly about their future lives together— their strengths and weaknesses, and their role in the church and society--in a face to face way. The weekend is open to any engaged couple. The weekend begins Saturday morning at 8:15am and goes through Sunday afternoon. Meals are included. They are held at the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center, 2100 N. Spring, Amarillo, TX 79107 four times per year. The CEE Weekends for the year 2016 are May 21-22, July 9-10, and November 12-13. Applications are now available at the parish office for the Msgr. Norbert G. Kuehler $500 college scholarship. Complete applications must be received by 12:00pm on Friday April 29th, 2016. The Knights of Columbus Borger Council #3558 will be awarding a tuition assistance scholarship to a Catholic student for the academic year 2016-2017. Applications will be available at the Parish office beginning February 29, 2016. The Borger Council 3558 Scholarship for $500.00 is to provide a monetary grant to one eligible applicant attending or accepted for attendance at an accredited college or junior college. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence and personal qualifications. Funds are applicable for tuition, fees and books only and will be paid directly to the school. The applicant must submit a completed scholarship application with required supplemental information to the Knights of Columbus, Borger Council #3558 by April 18, 2016. Applications may be delivered to the Parish office.
