GEAR BOX
Everything a rider requires for training and race day can be
stowed seamlessly inside the top tube. The Gear Box comes
equipped with two CO2 cartridges, two tyre levers and a ­spare
inner tube encased inside a soft neoprene shell between the
top tube and down tube. That makes fast puncture repairs
possible to get back in the race.
ENERGY SOURCE
Nutrition storage that conforms both aesthetically and aerodynamically
is hard to come by. With the Energy Source we made space for all the
gels, bars and hydration tablets needed by the rider for the toughest
races out there. This is a strictly no-tape zone.
HYDRATION SOURCE
Developed in partnership with Profile Design, the
Hydration Source is simple to refill in the heat of the
race to increase the amount of time the rider spends
in the optimum aero position. Integration need not be
complex, the Hydration Source is simple to install
and drink out of, while the entire lid is detachable for
effective cleaning.
INTEGRATED GARMIN MOUNT
Performance made visible. Our Integrated Garmin Mount
keeps things clean up front and puts vital stats within
clear sight of the rider.
SEATPOST BOTTLE CAGE
Thanks to a removable adapter, additional bottle
cages connect seamlessly to the rear of the
seatpost. Compatible with either one or two
standard bottles, the mount is simple to install
and easy to access when riding.

& CONTROL
EXTENSION GRIPS
A more secure hold and better grip are delivered by the
new Ergon extension grips. These dampen road vibrations
far more than conventional bar tape for extra comfort.
ARM PADS
As one of the most crucial rider contact points,
comfort is king when it comes to arm pads.
Our partnership with ergonomics gurus, Ergon,
resulted in the creation of a new shell shape
with plush padding material for enhanced
damping, grip and comfort.
ERGON BASE BAR GRIPS
Out-the-saddle climbs and technical descents
can be attacked with full confidence thanks to
Ergon’s innovative Base Bar Grips that greatly
increase rider control.
BRAKING SYSTEM
We collaborated with TRP to take braking performance on the
Speedmax CF SLX to the next level. Re-positioning the front
brake from the rear of the fork crown to the front results in a
stiffer braking platform for improved feel. All braking mechanics
are protected behind a flexible cover and are easy to access for
assembly and maintenance.
The rear brake remains positioned below the bottom bracket.
As this is one of the stiffest points of the frame, the rider
benefits from assured braking power and modulation with
a clear bite point, while the new design is also more straight­
forward to adjust.

GEOMETRY &
AERODYNAMICS
OPTIMISED GEOMETRY
Incredibly stable handling was a signature of the previous Speedmax CF,
achieved through a combination of long chainstays, long wheelbase
and a steep steering angle. We weren’t content to leave it at that
though, so the new Speedmax CF SLX has a revised geometry to
further enhance its ride and handling performance. By optimising the
steering angle, we have further improved the bike’s high-speed stability.
Thanks to the vast array of adjustments possible around the seat and
cockpit, it is easier to achieve a more compact and efficient riding
position with the Speedmax CF SLX over its predecessor.
The new Speedmax CF SLX, like its predecessor, remains 100 % UCI legal.
AERODYNAMICS
To enhance aerodynamics with the new Speedmax CF SLX, we took a
whole system approach in our CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
analysis and wind tunnel testing. The aim was to create the most
efficient setup at 50 km/h. From the frame's tube profiles to the form
of each individual component, every element has been shaped and
sculpted in the pursuit of absolute aerodynamic efficiency.
