By doing a tour at Santa Rita you will discover, close-up,
Chile's wine roots, the entire wine-making process, you
will taste our best wines and take-in all the cultural heritage
of the winery in Alto Jahuel.
Our tours are available in Spanish, Portuguese, English and
French at different hours from Tuesday to Sunday.

Un recorrido por la Historia de Chile y su viticultura
A trip through Chile's history and wine-growing.
Paseo guiado que comienza en los viñedos en el corazón del valle del Maipo, pasa por las
bodegas de vinificación, guarda y planta de embotellamiento donde se aprende todo el
proceso de elaboración del vino. Visita a la histórica Bodega 1, contruida de “cal y canto”, y
la histórica “Bodega de los 120 patriotas”, hoy monumento nacional. El recorrido finaliza con
una degustación de vinos Reserva en el mismo lugar donde se albergaron los 120 patriotas.
A guided tour that starts in the vineyards at the heart of the Maipo valley, continues through
the wine-making and ageing cellars and passes by the bottling plant. Visit the historical Cellar
n°1 made of “Cal y Canto” and the famous “120 patriots” cellar that are now national monuments.
The tour ends with a tasting of Reserva wines in the very cellar the 120 patriots were sheltered.

For select groups we have created an interesting tour throughout the nature and history of
our century-old park that surrounds the old summer mansion that once belonged to Don
Domingo Fernández Concha, the founder of Santa Rita winery. You will visit the beautiful 40
hectare park where French, English and Italian styles are mixed, making it unique in Chile. You
will see the Roman Baths, the Neo-Gothic chapel and the old family house that is now the
Casa Real hotel.

Para los amantes de los deportes al aire libre, hemos desarrollado una ruta para pedalear
por el valle del Maipo, con la imponente Cordillera de los Andes como telón de fondo.
Se recorrerán 3 bodegas: Viña Carmen; importante viña boutique chilena, lugar donde se
redescubrió el carmenere en Chile hace más de 15 años; Viña Nativa, dónde conoceremos
las prácticas y cuidados de una viña orgánica, degustando sus vinos en un rústico quincho con
hermosas vistas a los viñedos y animales de la granja orgánica y finalmente, toda la tradición
de Viña Santa Rita visitando sus históricas bodegas que son hoy monumento nacional.
Se degustarán vinos de todas las bodegas y se finalizará con un rico almuerzo.
Considera guía bilingüe, transporte desde y hacia Santiago, recogiendo a los pasajeros en
su hotel.
For outdoor sports lovers, we have created a route where you will ride through the Maipo
valley with the Andes mountains in the background.
You will visit 3 wineries: Carmen, an important Chilean boutique winery where the grape variety
Carmenere was rediscovered over 15 years ago; Nativa, to find out all about the work and
cares of an organic winery. A tasting will be done in a rustic “quincho” (typical Chilean marquee)
with beautiful views of the vineyards and animals from the organic farm. Finally, you will
discover all the tradition of Santa Rita winery by visiting its historical cellars that are now national
monuments.
You will taste wines from all of the wineries and the tour ends with a lovely lunch.
The tour includes a bilingual guide, transport to and from Santiago and hotel pick-up.

En medio de los viñedos de Santa Rita en Alto Jahuel, a los pies de la cordillera de los Andes
y frente a la antigua casa colonial de Doña Paula se levanta el Museo Andino, de la Fundación
Claro Vial.
Es una moderna construcción de 1.500 m2 que exhibe más de 2.000 piezas arqueológicas y
etnográficas de culturas chilenas, reunidas por empresario Ricardo Claro y María Luisa Vial de
Claro, que en 2006 las pusieron a disposición de la comunidad, convirtiéndola en una de las
colecciones privadas más importantes de Chile abiertas al público.
In the middle of the Santa Rita vineyards in Alto Jahuel, at the foot of the Andes Mountains and
facing Doña Paula's old colonial farmhouse you will find the Andean Museum belonging to
The Claro Vial foundation.
It is a 1.500m_ modern building that exhibits over 2.000 archeological and ethnographical
objects from Chilean cultures. They were collected by businessman Ricardo Claro and María
Luisa Vial de Claro. Since 2006 the collection is available to the community and is one of the
largest private collections in Chile that is open to the public.
Un muro de piedra de inspiración incaica y una escultura de José Vicente Gajardo marcan su
acceso. Hay tres sectores diferenciados. En dos de ellos se exhibe la colección permanente
y el tercero muestra exposiciones temporales, mayoritariamente de arte contemporáneo. La
exhibición permanente propone un recorrido a través de las culturas precolombinas de Chile,
iniciándose en Arica y continuando por Atacama, los territorios Diaguitas, las expresiones
precolombinas de Chile Central, la cultura Mapuche y, finalmente, la fusión de culturas que
representa el mundo huaso, propio del hombre de campo chileno. Complementariamente
se exhibe una valiosa colección de la cultura rapa Nui, de Isla de Pascua, así como una selección
de obras precolombinas americanas, en textil y oro.

There are 3 separate sectors. Two of them exhibit the permanent collection and the third is
used for temporary exhibitions, mainly of contemporary art. The permanent exhibition offers
a visit through Chile's Pre-Columbian cultures, starting in Arica, continuing through Atacama,
the Diaguita territories, the Pre-Columbian expressions of Central Chile, the Mapuche culture
and finally the fusion of cultures that represent the Chilean “Huaso”, the typical country man
in Chile. In addition, there is a precious collection from the Rapa Nui culture of Easter Island as
well as a selection of American Pre-Columbian textiles and gold objects.

La llamada Casa de Doña Paula nace hacia fines del siglo XVIII, como parte de la entonces
Hacienda de Paine, donde vivió doña Paula Jaraquemada, recordada a través de la clásica
marca 120 de Santa Rita, que honra el hecho histórico ocurrido durante la Independencia de
Chile, donde Doña Paula albergó a 120 patriotas tras la batalla de Rancagua.
Hoy, la casa es monumento nacional y está habilitada como el Restaurante Doña Paula. El
lugar es de estilo colonial, con muros blancos en los que cuelgan cuadros cuzqueños, techos
altos con cielo de bambú, de vigas a la vista y diversos objetos de la época. Todo, en un
entorno verde con vista hacia los viñedos. Su interior protege un hermoso patio cerrado con
un jardín de inspiración conventual. Ofrece una carta de muy alto nivel gastronómico,
convirtiéndolo en un hito entre las viñas chilenas. Tiene capacidad para 120 personas y su
carta incluye platos chilenos e internacionales, los cuales puede maridar con los mejores vinos
de Santa Rita.
The house that is known as “Doña Paula´s” was born at the end of the 18th century as part of
the Paine Farm, where Doña Paula Jaraquemada lived. It is remembered through the classic
120 brand of Santa Rita wines, a brand that honors the historical day when Doña Paula sheltered
120 Patriots during the Independence of Chile after the battle of Rancagua.
Today, the house is a national monument and has been restored to hold the Doña Paula
Restaurant. It is built in a colonial style with Cusqueño paintings hanging from the white walls,
high bamboo ceilings, wooden beams and various objects from that time; all in a natural
environment overlooking the vineyards. There is a beautiful inside patio with a monasticinspired garden. The restaurant offers a menu of high-level gastronomy making it a landmark
among Chilean wineries. It has a capacity of 120 and the menu includes Chilean and International
dishes that can be combined with the best Santa Rita wines.

La Panaderia Café
En el siglo XIX la panadería de Viña Santa Rita, ubicada
al interior del fundo en Alto Jahuel, preparaba y
entregaba pan a los trabajadores y sus familias. Hoy,
rescatando esta tradicional costumbre entre los
antiguos hornos y amasadoras, se encuentra el Café
La Panadería de Viña Santa Rita, un lugar ideal para
hacer una pausa, ya sea para tomar un rico café de
grano, un jugo natural o una comida al paso, para
continuar disfrutando del día en la Viña.
Utilizando las mismas instalaciones de antaño, el Café
cuenta además con una exhibición permanente de
los “Carros de Sangre”, antiguos coches tirados por
caballos, que servían como medio de transporte a
los dueños de la Viña y sus trabajadores, así como a
los vecinos de Alto Jahuel .
In the 19th century inside the Alto Jahuel farm, the
Santa Rita bakery made bread for the workers and
their families. Today, reviving this traditional custom
where the old ovens still stand, you will find the
Panaderia Café. Whether you fancy a nice fresh coffee,
a natural fruit juice or a bite to eat, it is the ideal place
to take a break before continuing your day throughout
the winery.
Using the same installations as in the old days the
Café also has a permanent exhibition of the “Blood
Carriages”: old coaches that were pulled by horses
and used to transport the owners of the winery, their
workers and also the neighbors from Alto Jahuel.

Parque Santa Rita
Santa Rita Park
Su imponente parque de 40 hectáreas, diseñado en 1882 por el destacado paisajista francés
Guillermo Renner, quien construyó numerosos parques urbanos y jardines en la zona central
de Chile a fines del siglo XIX y comienzos del siglo XX.
Su diseño se caracteriza por amplios y sombreados caminos circulares, en torno a prados,
bosques o plantaciones frutales que proyectan gradualmente el parque hacia la hacienda.
Actualmente es trabajado minuciosamente por un equipo de jardineros, quienes entregan
un cuidado único en pro de la conservación de la belleza natural de este patrimonio nacional.
La mezcla de estilos -italiano, francés e inglés- combina a la perfección con los árboles más
que centenarios, entre los que destacan cedros de gran altura, araucarias, palmas chilenas,
encinas, alcornoques y jacarandás.
The imposing 40-hectare park was designed by the distinguished French landscape architect
Guillermo Renner. He built various urban parks and gardens in Central Chile between the end
of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
It is characterized by wide, shaded, circular paths surrounded by spacious lawns, woods and
orchards that connect the park to the old farmhouse.
Nowadays it is meticulously worked by a team of gardeners who take extra care in preserving
the natural beauty of this national heritage. The mix of styles - Italian, French and English combines perfectly with the trees that are over a century-old, among which cedars, monkeypuzzle trees, Chilean palm-trees, oak trees, cork oaks and jacarandas can be distinguished.

A un costado de la casa patronal, en pleno campo, rodeado de cerros y en un paraje
típicamente chileno tras hileras de parras y bodegas, se encuentra la Capilla Santa Rita de
Alto Jahuel, que fuera diseñada en 1885 por el arquitecto alemán Teodoro Buchard. Cuatro
años demoró la construcción de esta capilla de estilo neogótico que nació como un regalo
de Don Domingo para una de sus tres hijas al momento de casarse.
Pese al paso del tiempo, aún refleja todo su esplendor producto de las extensas labores de
restauración efectuadas por Viña Santa Rita, que al tanto de su valor histórico, tuvo como
objetivo primordial rescatar y conservar este importante monumento nacional.
To one side of the family mansion, in the countryside, surrounded by hills and a typically Chilean
landscape behind vines and cellars, you will find the Santa Rita chapel in Alto Jahuel. It was
designed in 1885 by the German architect Teodoro Burchard. It took four years to build the
Neo-gothic style chapel and was a gift from Don Domingo to one of his daughters when she
got married.
Although time has passed, it still reflects its entire splendor thanks to the extended restoration
work done by Viña Santa Rita. Aware of its historical value, the primordial aim was to save and
preserve this important national monument.
