¿Dónde está? Song Activity
Number of Players: 2 or more
Materials Needed: Any vocabulary flashcards.
Instructions:
• Pass out vocabulary cards to each person. If you have only 2 or 3
people, give each person 2 or 3 cards. If you have a bigger group,
give each person 1 card.
• Stand in a circle.
• Together sing to the tune of, Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush
• ¿Dónde está_____, _______, ________?
• ¿Dónde está _________?
• Estoy aquí.
• Fill in the blanks with ONE vocabulary word.
• When you all sing “Estoy aquí.”, the person with that card steps to the
middle of the circle and holds up her card.
• Continue singing the song until you have done all the words.
Variation:
• If you are using Spanish for You!, then doing all 16 vocabulary words
in a lesson may be too many, take too long.
• An alternative is to choose 6 to 8 words and give one of each of those
flashcards to students.
• Those students stand in a line in front of the class.
• The whole class, including the students in front, sing the song.
• When “Estoy aquí” is sung, the student in the line holding that card
steps forward and holds up his/her card.
