Year-end NWEA Testing continues this week!
Help the children do their best by making sure they are on-time, relaxed, and focused in
the morning. They should not have any non-emergency appointments scheduled through
Thursday. We will be sharing the results with you before the end of the school year.
Please let us know if you would like to learn more about the NWEA MAP exam.
Parents: Letters with information regarding your 2015-2016 tuition amount will start
going out next week. Only families who have enrolled with FACTS will be in receipt of
this letter. Please note that enrolling in FACTS is part of your child(ren)’s re-registration.
Safety Crossing The Street: ​
Please use the crosswalks at 16th and Church Streets. Do not cross
16th St. in front of the school. I see this happening too often, and it is very dangerous. The death
of a 12 year old on his way to school yesterday near Balboa Park reminds how quickly accidents
with serious consequences can occur. Always remember to take your time and look both ways
when entering the crosswalk.
Tiger PAC Luau:​
Join us for this school year’s last Tiger PAC meeting on Thursday, May 14th at
6p.m.! It will be hosted by our Kindergarten and First grade classrooms!
MDA ARTS DAY!: ​
Mark your calendars for MDA Arts Day! Please join us for an afternoon of
integrated art and music activities, a guided art walk and the spring music performance! MDA Arts
Day will begin at 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 19. The music performance will begin at 2:30, but
families are welcome to come earlier in the afternoon to take a guided tour of student artwork!
Please note that the hour requirement for the 2015-2106 school year will be
changed. ​
Information regarding these changes will be sent home in the next few weeks.
Families who have not completed their hours for this year have one last opportunity on ​
May 30th
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Our Goal is to clean the Gym and surrounding Area. ​

Summer School at MDA: ​
There are very few spots left for our summer school program! Please stop
by the front office and pick up an application if you are interested in enrolling your child!
8th Grade Parents: Please see Sister Ann to receive your 8th Grader's Confirmation Certificate. We are happy for the 28 MDA students who will receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation on
Wednesday, May 20th and the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 31st: 10 AM

Examenes finales de NWEA MAP continuan esta semana.
Ayude a los niños hacer todo lo posible por asegurarse de que están a tiempo, relajados, y
enfocados en la mañana. No deben tener ninguna citas si no son de emergencia
programados durante esta semana. Estaremos compartiendo los resultados con usted
antes de que finalice el año escolar. Por favor, háganos saber si usted quisiera aprender
más sobre el examen NWEA MAP.
Padres : Cartas con información sobre la cantidad de su colegiatura para el 2015-2016
comenzarán a salir la próxima semana. Sólo las familias que se han inscrito con FACTS
recibiran esta carta. Tenga en cuenta que la inscripción en FACTS es parte de la
registración de su hijo/a.
Precaución Cruzando La Calle: ​
Utilice los pasos de camino en las calles 16 y la Church. No cruce la
calle 16 en frente de la escuela. Veo que esto sucede muy frecuente y my preocupa porque,
olbviamente, es muy peligroso. La muerte de un niño de 12 años de edad, en su camino a la escuela
ayer cerca de Balboa Park recuerda lo rápido que pueden ocurrir accidentes con consecuencias
graves. Siempre recuerde tomar su tiempo y mirar a ambos lados al entrar los pasos de camino.
DIA DE ARTES EN MDA!:​
Marquen sus calendarios para nuestro Día de Artes! Por favor, únase a
nosotros para una tarde de actividades de arte y música integradas, una caminata guiada de arte y la
presentacion musical de primavera! El evento omenzará a la 1:00pm el martes, 19 de mayo. La
ipresentacion musical comenzará a las 2:30, pero las familias son bienvenidos a venir más temprano
en la tarde para realizar una visita guiada de arte de los estudiantes !
Tome en cuenta que el requisito de horas voluntarias para el año escolar 2015-2106 será
cambiado​
. La información relativa a estos cambios será enviado a casa en las próximas semanas.
Las familias que no han completado sus horas para este año tienen una última oportunidad el 30 de
mayo de 9:00 a, m . a 1:00 pm. Nuestro objetivo es limpiar el área de gimnasio. Usted puede enviar
