A contraction is the shortening of two words by the omission of one or more letters
and the use of an apostrophe where the letters were omitted. (Una contracción es el

Verbs: "To Be"
You should become throughly familiar with the various forms of the "to be" verbs. When
replacing the pronouns with nouns, such as friend(s) or boy(s) or using proper nouns
such as Mary or Peter and Joseph, use is for singular and are for plural nouns. (Usted
debe estar enteramente familiarizado con las diversas formas de los verbos "ser/esta."
Al sustituir los pronombres con sustantivos, como amigo (s) o niño (s) o el uso de los

"TH" Pronunciation: ("TH" Pronunciación:)
Notes / Notas: To Make the "TH" sound, the tongue tip has to be placed between the
teeth. (Hacer el sonido "TH", la punta de la lengua tiene que ser colocado entre los
dientes.)
Spanish words have the "TH" sound when the letter d is between two vowels. If the
English words are not pronounced correctly, they may sound like a different word.
