advertising, communication and promotion in open space. The system must be used, for
example, in the centre of towns and in the most important commercial streets in order to advertise
shops and products located in the area covered by the network. The company intends to adopt

Bluetooth technology for communication, but the problem of the short range of diffusion of the
signal must be solved. Because of this, they are looking for a technological partner that can
provide a hardware and (possibly) software solution for networking the system and repeating the
Bluetooth signal in a longer range (400 to 500 meters). At the moment the company uses, as
emitter, a commercial PC where a specific software application runs, which is able to send
messages via Bluetooth to every Bluetooth device (i.e. mobile phones) in a range of about 100
meters. Repeaters/bridges to replicate the signal in a longer range are needed. Companies or
R&D centres are sought for commercial agreement with technical assistance or for
cooperation.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The network must use the Bluetooth communication protocol and replicate the signal/data from
the emitter to other repeaters in order to enlarge the range of action of the network till 400 to 500
meters.
