every child and create an inclusive classroom
community. Topics will include sensory integration,
science explorations, math concepts, and a passion for
learning.

figure out what to do with the difficult children in your
class? Learn hands-on techniques to detect and manage
disruptive classroom behavior before it gets out of hand.
Facilitating Communication in the Preschool
Classroom - How can I support the children in my care
who are having challenges with speech & language? In
this workshop you will learn information regarding
speech & language development, including the four
main areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
Learn when and how to make a referral, and successful
strategies for facilitating communication in your
classroom.
Tough Topics: Talking to Children About Death Talking about death is never easy; answering children’s
questions about death can be even tougher. This
workshop will answer your questions about what to say
or not to say in talking to children. Learn how to guide
parents and answer their questions so that they can
address the issue of death and dying in a
developmentally appropriate way. Gain confidence and
feel prepared to deal with a pet, family, or community
crisis in a way that will help children in your care feel
safe and loved in times of great change.
Culture & Diversity in Early Care Settings - Learn
hands-on care-giving techniques and problemresolution practices that respond to the diversity of
culture represented in a program including race,
gender, socio-economic status, abilities and disabilities,
and family status. In addition, learn techniques to use
when responding to children’s developing
discriminatory behaviors.

The Baby Steps of Early Identification - Walking
through the steps of early identification can be
challenging for both providers and parents. What can we
do to overcome potential barriers? Learn techniques that
will help you as a provider establish healthy relationships
with parents, along with tools that parents and providers
need to have more successful interactions with children.

Center services including qualifying conditions, and the

may indicate the need for further assessment. Providers
