TRAFFIC SAFETY AROUND SCHOOL
Our children’s safety is a PRIORITY!

Many traffic rules are being broken around school, which is putting our children and families at risk of being hurt.
Below is a list of non-negotiables that need to be followed when dropping off or picking up your children from
school.













Children are to be dropped off at curbside, NOT in the middle of the street.
Children dropped off across the street MUST be accompanied by an adult.
NO double parking allowed.
NO double STOPPING along the curb within the school parking lot.
NO children are allowed to walk through the parking lot without being accompanied by an
adult.
Car engines are to be turned off when vacated.
DO NOT leave your car unattended during DROP OFF and PICK UP.
If you must leave your car to pick up your child, you MUST find a parking spot.
Kindergarten students MUST be picked up in the K Yard unless they are leaving on the bus.
DRIVE SLOWLY in and around the school.
WAIT your turn. Be careful and courteous as you are maneuvering through the parking lot.
DO NOT park in parking spots marked STAFF.
Walkers/Bike Riders MUST use the designated concrete ramp coming up from the sidewalk on
Knollwood & circle the parking lot. Bike riders should WALK their bikes up the ramp & while on school
property. Children/Adults are NOT to CROSS in front of the CAR ENTRANCE to the school parking lot
REMEMBER: It is the responsibility of all of us to keep our children and families safe.

Muchas de las normas de tránsito no se están respetando alrededor de nuestra escuela, lo cual coloca en riesgo la
seguridad de los niños. Abajo está una lista de las normas que obligatoriamente se tienen que obedecer al dejar y
recoger a los niños en la escuela.

Los niños deben bajarse del auto en la acera, NO en el medio de la calle.
Los niños que crucen la calle, DEBERÁN hacerlo acompañados de un adulto.
NO está permitido estacionar en doble línea.
NO está permitido PARAR en doble línea dentro del estacionamiento de la escuela.
NO se permite que los niños crucen a pie el estacionamiento sin estar acompañados de
un adulto.
• Los motores de los automóviles deben estar apagados cuando no hay nadie dentro.
• NO abandone su vehículo a la hora de DEJAR y RECOGER a sus niños en la escuela.
• Si necesita salirse del auto para recoger a su niño, DEBE encontrar un lugar donde
estacionarse.
• Los alumnos de kínder DEBERÁN ser recogidos en el patio de kínder, a no ser que
viajen en el autobús escolar.
• MANEJE LENTAMENTE en el estacionamiento y alrededor de la escuela.
• ESPERE su turno. Sea cuidadoso y cortés al manejar por el estacionamiento.
• NO se estacione en los puestos reservados para los empleados de la escuela (marcados
“STAFF”).
• RECUERDE: Mantener seguros a los niños es responsabilidad de todos
nosotros.
