Applications for International Baccalaureate Programme grades 10-12 will be available at the magnet office and at Eisenhower HS December 2012.
Important: • For a student in Special Education who is selected, the parent(s) or guardian(s) must attend an ARD Committee meeting to determine if the IEP can be appropriately implemented at
the magnet school BEFORE placement can occur.
• For a student in a Bilingual Program who is selected, the parent(s) or guardian(s) must attend an LPAC Committee meeting to determine if the student’s academic needs can be appropriately implemented at the magnet school BEFORE placement can occur.
• Students who are currently home schooled or attending private institutions must be assessed by Aldine ISD to determine grade level placement.
• Parents/Guardians who do not receive written notification of lottery results within 7 days of the lottery must contact the Magnet Office for verification.
• Out-of-district employees who have been selected for a Magnet seat must complete a transfer through eportal by the deadline, April 26, 2013. The Magnet slot for your child will be
forfeited if the eportal application is not submitted by the deadline. A district mass email will give further instructions; failure to comply will void this application.
• All acceptance letters must be signed and returned to the magnet office by the deadline. Verbal acceptance only is not valid to claim the seat.

Las solicitudes para el Programa Internacional de Bachillerato en los grados 10-12 estarán disponibles en la oficina “magnet” y en la escuela secundaria Eisenhower en diciembre 2012.
• Los padres o apoderados de un estudiante que esté matriculado en un programa de Educación Especial y que sea seleccionado, tienen que asistir a una reunión con un Comité ARD para determinar
si el IEP puede ser implementado de una manera apropiada en la escuela Magnet antes de que se efectúe un cambio.
• Los padres o apoderados de un estudiante que esté matriculado/a en un Programa Bilingüe y que sea seleccionado tienen que asistir a una reunión con el comité LPAC para demterminar si las
necesidades del estudiante pueden ser satisfechas adecuadamente en la escuela Magnet antes de que se efectúe un cambio.
• Los estudiantes que estén recibiendo educación en sus casas (homeschool) o que asistan a una institución privada (particular) tienen que ser evaluados por el Distrito Escolar de Aldine para determinar el grado en que deben ser colocados.
• Los padres/apoderados que no recibieron notificación escrita de los resultados de la lotería dentro de los 7 días siguientes al torneo tienen que comunicarse con la Oficina Magnet para verificación.
• Los hijos de empleados fuera del distrito que hayan sido seleccionados para una plaza (un cupo) Magnet, tienen que completar una transferencia a través del E-portal para la fecha límite, 26
de abril de 2013. La plaa (el cupo) Magnet para su hijo/a puede expirar si la solicitud a través del E-portal no se entrega para la fecha límite. Un correo electrónico (E-mail) masivo les dará más
instrucciones; la falta de cumplimiento hará nula esta solicitud.
• Todas las cartas de aceptación tienen que ser firmadas y devueltas a la oficina “magnet” para la fecha límite. Las aceptaciones verbales no son válidas para reclamar el puesto.
