About the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign The American Red Cross Home Fire Preparedness Campaign is rolling out across the country, aiming to reduce the number of deaths and injuries from home fires by installing smoke alarms in homes throughout the United States. The campaign aims to reduce the number of deaths and injuries from home fires by as much as 25 percent over the next five years. Along with installing smoke alarms, the Red Cross is joining with fire departments and community groups nationwide to canvass neighborhoods and teach people all over the United States about fire safety. Sobre la campaña de prevención de incendios domésticos La campaña de prevención de incendios domésticos de la Cruz Roja Americana se está lanzando en todo el país para tratar de disminuir el número de muertes y lesiones causadas por incendios domésticos a través de instalando detectores de humo en casas por los Estados Unidos. Esta campaña trata de reducir 25% de dichas muertes y lesiones en los próximos 5 años. Con la instalación de detectores de humo, la Cruz Roja, junto con los bomberos y grupos comunitarios en todo el país pasará por los vecindarios y les enseñará a los miembros de la comunidad cómo prevenir incendios domésticos.
