In late December, the President of Chile appointed Jaime
Estévez V. as Minister of Public Works, Transportation and
Telecommunications, and the former minister, Javier Etcheberry
C., became BancoEstado Chairman. Etcheberry assumed his new
post on 13 January 2005.
