The Comisión Técnica Mixta Salto Grande has received financing from the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds to
payments under the project , for Prepare hydrological studies for the Salto Grande
Hydroelectric Complex (CHSG) reservoir and Uruguay River Basin, including a
detailed analysis of existing studies, historical information as well as the
identification and evaluation of impacts on the hydrological behavior of the basin.
The medium and long term investment plan will incorporate the recommendations
that emerge from the studies of the consulting firm, and should aim to ensure the

demonstrate extensive experience in the development of hydro-meteorological
studies evaluating possible maximum precipitation and possible maximum flow in
hydroelectric reservoirs and river basins comparable with those of CHSG, as well as
experience in evaluating impacts of climate change in these environments.
The Inter-American Development Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate
their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide
information establishing that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures,
description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of
appropriate skills among staff, etc). Consultants may associate to enhance their
qualifications.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the InterAmerican Development Bank: 0Policies for the selection and Contracting of
Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank00 (current edition)
and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies.

Grande Hydroelectric Complex, for Prepare a comprehensive diagnosis of Salto
Grande Hydroelectric Complex including a study of the potential to increase the
generation capacity of the plant, and based on the results of the study; design a
strategic action plan that includes an investment plan for the medium and long term.
The comprehensive assessment will review the current status of the plant as well as
the operational management of the generation equipment and interconnection
system, including auxiliary mechanical, electrical control systems, signaling,
protection, control and general services. Also consider the condition of the
infrastructure and its capacity to meet the emerging hydrological and environmental
changes and requirements. Interested firms must demonstrate extensive
international experience in the development of basic studies, design and detailed
engineering of civil and electromechanical works of large hydroelectric power plants,
