Videoconference on Bolivian Projects to be Included in the Integration
Priority Project Agenda (API)

The purpose of this meeting was to consider the API projects in which Bolivia is involved. Its participants
are listed following these notes.
Below there is a summary of the agreements attained:
Central Interoceanic Hub

Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport for South America (Viru Viru - Santa Cruz International Hub
Airport)
Bolivia
Bolivia has already submitted the file accounting for compliance of this project with the API selection
criteria. The implementation schedule needs to be completed by Bolivia not later than October 1.

Improvement of Road Connectivity in the Central Interoceanic Hub
Bolivia and Brazil
In relation to the Puerto Suárez - Corumbá Integrated Control Area, Brazil informs that there is a
border infrastructure in place (Esdras Border Crossing and AGESA) that needs to be improved. The
cost of the improvement works, which may start in 2012, amounts to US$1,250,000.00.
Brazil proposes replacing project IOC15, Corumbá Bypass, which has been completed, by project
IOC14, Campo Grande Bypass, which is being executed.
The reference to the project phases is removed from the project name, since all the individual
projects that make up the structured project will be completed by 2022.
Brazil will send the information related to projects IOC14 and IOC25 to Bolivia, which will consolidate
the file accounting for compliance with the API selection criteria not later than October 1.
Both countries will send the implementation schedule of each project not later than October 1.

Infante Rivarola - Cañada Oruro Border Crossing
Bolivia and Paraguay
The file accounting this project compliance with the selection criteria and its implementation schedule
are still pending and will be submitted by Paraguay not later than October 1.

Central Bioceanic Railway Corridor (Bolivian section)
Bolivia
This project is included in API under the name of “Central Bioceanic Railway Corridor (Bolivian
Section).”
Bolivia has already submitted the file accounting for its compliance with the API selection criteria, and
the implementation schedule will be sent by Bolivia not later than October 1.

Construction of a Multipurpose Port or Megaport in Ilo
Bolivia
This project is excluded from the API. Peru and Bolivia agreed to reformulate the project as binational
to be included in the revision of this Agenda in five years’ time.
Andean Hub

Desaguadero Binational Border Service Center (CEBAF)
Bolivia and Peru
This project is included in the API.
Peru has already submitted the file accounting for its compliance with the API selection criteria and its
implementation schedule.
