The calling party's information will be displayed after the first ring, provided that you have subscribed to a CALLER ID Service. The unit can record information of up to 50 different callers, including the time and date the call was received in the Caller List. The Caller List information is sorted from the most recent to the oldest call. Using the list, you can automatically call back a caller. If you subscribe to a Call Waiting Service, when a second call is received, the new caller's name and phone number will be displayed (see page 14). How CALLER Information is Displayed when a Call is Received When a call is received, the display shows the caller's name and number after the first ring. • When the unit is connected to a PBX system, you can not receive CALLER ID information, • In some calfing areas, the name display service may not be available. Callers can leave messages by followLng the pro-recorded instructions. V_ce Ma]/icon When you have Voice Mail messages, the Voice Mail Icon will flash at the right upper corner and the =VOICE MAIL" indication will atternate with the default mode, ivOIEE MRIL • The Voice Mail icon will flash until all messages have been retrieved from your Mail box by dialing the local access number provided by your phone company. _k While in the default mode, if the "VOICE MAll_" message or Icon continue flashing after you have Iistened to all your "VOICE MAIL" message(s), press the •CLEAR" Key to erase the flashing •VOICE MAIL" message and Icon. It is suggested that you program your local voice mail access phone number Into one of the 10 available Speed Dial Stations on this phone. • The Voice Mail Tone can be heard and messages can be retrieved from any extension phone connected to the same telephone line, if you use other extension phone you have to clialyour access number as welt. Allow 10 crn (4*) clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. Avoid excessive smoke, dust, mechanical vibration, shock, or direct sunlight. • Routine care - wipe the unit with a soft cloth. DO not use benzine, thinner, or any abrasive powder. • If there is any trouble * disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect a known working phone. If the known working phone operates properly, have your unit repaired by one of the authorized Panasonic Factory Service Centers. If the known working phone does not operate properly, consult your telephone company. When programming emergency numbers: emergency numbers and / or making test calls to 1.
