General Procurement Notice
The Government of the Dominican Republic (GODR) has been awarded a grant of
USD230,108 under the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
Standby Facility for Capacity Building under the 10th European Development Fund
(EDF). The Grant will be administered by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB)
towards the cost of the above named project and GODR intends to apply a portion of
the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under contracts procured under this
project.
Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GODR and upon approval by
CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing
Agreement. The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing
account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of
goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a
decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the
Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GODR shall derive any rights
from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.
The following consultancy assignments will be procured under the project:

Consultancy services for Training - Negotiating and Implementing Trade
Agreements.

It is expected that these will be procured during the period December 2014 to
February 2015.

Consultants from member countries of CDB, EU Member Countries which are not
CDB Member Countries and the Dominican Republic, a CARIFORUM Member State
but not a CDB Member Country will be eligible to participate in these procurement
opportunities.
The Directorate of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and
