TUTORIAL BANNER “UNDERSTAND”
TUTORIAL BANNER “UNDERSTAND” By @iCrystals at dA & @ephyreia at FB & PG TUTOTIAL EN ESPAÑOL TUTORIAL ON ENGLISH ESPAÑOL TUTORIAL BAN NER “UN DER STA ND” PASO 1 Lo primero que haremos será abrir un nuevo canvas de 700x110px. 4 ENGLISH STEP 1 The first we’re going to do, is to open a new canvas of 700x110 px. Then, we’ll place our photo, in my case, this one from Shay, zoom it out, so it looks like the image. But, as the photo will have a smaller width than the one on the canvas, we’ll select a grey tone from the background with the eyedropper tool: #bfbeba, and paint the blank spaces on the canvas (with the brush). TUTORIA L BAN NER “UN DER STA ND” STEP 2 Next, we’ll use the first and second textures, that we’ll put on multiply mode. The third texture will be duplicated, and put on both sides of the canvas, in a soft light mode. Erase the part of the textures that are above the model. STEP 3 Thirdly, we’ll use the fourth texture, we’ll desaturate it (CTRL+U), inverse it (CTRL+I) and place it above the model, on a screen mode, erasing the parts above the face of the model. 5 STEP 4 We’ll add the first png, que inverse it (CTRL+I), duplicate it, and place it on both sides of the model, erasing (again) the part above the model and the 4th texture. TUTORIAL BAN NER “UN DER STA ND” STEP 5 Now, is time to place the models (from an @ExoticPngs pack). Each one will be placed on one side of the first photo. Don’t forget to make sure that each png “looks” to a different part of the canvas. STEP 6 For the “UNDERSTAND” text I used the font “Demon Letter” at 30pt, with #af525c color and with a style downloaded from an @Evey-V pack. For the smaller text, I used the font “Consolas” at 8pt in a white tone, and the created some rectangles under the text. In the pink details, I duplicated the small model, and went to “fx” > “color overlay”, and used the same pink as before. Now, pass this layer under the original one, and move it a bit to the right and to the upper part of the canvas, in order to make it visible. 6 STEP 7 Now, we’re gonna place the rest of the pngs. The books will be placed above the “understand” text and the big Shay png. And the stairs and clock, under the small Shay png and the small text. STEP 8 To make the banner b&w, we’ll go to ADJUSTMENTS > GRADIENT MAP, and select the one in b&w. Then, add a vector mask and there, erase the rectangles of the secondary text, the “understand” text, and the small model shadow, so what we erased now will be in pink. TUTORIA L BAN NER “UN DER STA ND” STEP 9 To finish, we’ll add a small “coloring” to the banner. Go to adjustments: > ADJUSTMENTS > BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST: brightness: 10 // contrast: +9 > ADJUSTMENTS > SELECTIVE COLOR: >> reds: cyan: 100 // magenta: +16 // yellow: +29 // black +2 >> yellows: cyan: 71 >> magenta: cyan: 21 The last thing, is to add a light texture in a soft light mode. 7
