• Listening Practice (dictation, students simply try to write what they
hear) Encourage them to write as much as they can, and fill in
grammatical details later. Act. 8, p. 215 (Disc 8, Track 6)
• Listening Practice Act. 5 (Disc 8, Track 7) Pass out sheet and have
students follow the instructions.

• Exploracion del lenguaje p. 216
• Brief explanation of the use of "el" and "los" before days of the week
to mean "on ..." For example, On Monday I go to school. Yo voy a la
escuela el lunes. On Mondays, I play the piano. Yo toco el piano LOS
lunes. They can also read the grammar note on page 216. PLEASE
reinforce that we don't EN el martes,or EN los martes in Spanish!
• Speaking practice using the above grammar point. Exercise 9 on
page 216 can be used as a model. Have students do the activity in
pairs, then have some pairs present to the class.
• HOMEWORK-Study vocabulary for listening quiz on Tuesday
