Adding Widgets/ Gadgets/ anything with HTML embed code to Moodle
1. Get the embed code from the website you found the gadget / widget / video. A few
good sites for widgets are:
• http://www.google.com/webmasters/gadgets/
• http://www.springwidgets.com
2. Go to your moodle page and turn editing on.
3. In the right hand column, on the bottom, you will see this:
4. Click the drop-down arrow and select HTML.
5. This will give you a block that looks like this:
6. Now, click the hand icon to edit the HTML block. That gives you this screen:

7. Usually, you just type what you want in the boxes, but to put in the HTML you have to
go to toggle into the HTML editor. To do that click the icon with < > as illustrated
below:
8. Now your editor looks like this:
9. Paste the embed code that you got from the website into the box. It should now look
something like this:
10. Click save and your gadget / widget should show up in the lower right column.
Move it where you want it by grabbing the block and moving it!
