QUICK REFERENCE
The SpringBoard has 6 user areas.
All 6 of these areas have programs
ready to go. User area 1 = 4 keys,
area 2 = 8 words, area 3 = 8
phrases, area 4 = 15 keys, area
5 = 32 keys, and area 6 is the
Exploration Wizard.
SpringBoard consiste de 6 areas de

TO CHANGE USER AREAS (Cambiar el Usuario)
1. Select the toolbox key (hammer
and screwdriver) on the front of
the SpringBoard case.
2. Select CHOOSE OVERLAY
MENU.
• Select SWITCH USER
AREA.
• Select the User Area to
switch to.
• The device takes you back to
the Overlay Menu screen.
• Select OK.
The first screen that appears when
you press OK will be the toolbox
page. You can press OK again or
GO TO MINSPEAK (near the
bottom right corner)

ACTIVITY ROW AND CORE VOCABULARY
SB Unity 8 word (user area 2)
In each program you have 2 main
sections:

Activity Row - the first row of
small keys at the top of the
screen. This row offers items
related to the key you selected
in the core vocabulary or an
activity in the activity row.
Fila de Actividades – la primera fila de

Core Vocabulary - The
remaining rows. This is
considered your main or home
screen.
These keys offer words
frequently used to communicate
- verbs, pronouns, adjectives
etc. These keys may also act as
category keys that will link to the
activity row.
In user area 3 (8-phrase) the
keys link to pages that provide
options to go with the initial part
of the phrase chosen.
Vocabulario Nucleo – las filas del parte
abajo. Estas filas consisten en la
ventana principal. Estas teclas ofrece

your page.
TO COPY A PAGE (Copiar Página)
Follow instructions above, choosing
to “Copy from an existing page”
rather than choosing the overlay
size (step 5). Remember to make
links for these new pages. (Linking
Pages instructions below.)

*Most of the activity rows are full. You will need to add a new row and arrange the icons in
the order you want. You will need to add a “More Items” key to provide access to the next

HIDE OR SHOW AN ACTIVITY (Esconder o Mostrar Actividad)
If you want to decrease the number of activities available in the activity row
you can choose to hide them and show them at another time. (Si quiere limitar

3. Select the activity to modify (you
may need to select MORE

remain until the device user presses
the Activity key to choose a different
activity, you can choose ACTIVITY
PERSISTENCE to be Permanent.)
