Creating Possibilities
for All Ages
Above: Kelly Carter uses the library computers to
search the Internet. Many patrons use these public
computers for job searching, school work, and
accessing email.
Right: Sylvia Shaner, one of our weekly library volunteers, calls patrons to let them know that their
holds have arrived. Each day volunteers come to
the library to help make calls, shelve books, track
donations, and organize our book sale.
At Muhlenberg Community Library, we are currently in the process of moving to a new check in/
check out system that will allow us to provide greater services to our patrons. We are very excited
about this change and are looking forward to new features that will make your library experience
that much better.
Rolling out:
End of
May
Features will include:
 User Friendly Online Catalog
 Get email notices? Now you can get texts!
 Tired of paper receipts? E-receipts are coming!
 Always get notices when your book is already
over due? Now you’ll get pre -notices before
the item is due!
We are excited to give
you new possibilities!
We will be offline for one week in May in order to prepare for this process. We will be checking out
items, but you might need to wait a little longer for your hold items. One added bonus for you is
that during this time you will have extra time on the items you check out! We ask for your patience
in this process.

Libraries Change Lives
Dear Community Supporters,
Libraries have been called the great equalizer. For centuries libraries have provided free access to the
greatest literature and newest technology to anyone walking their their doors. Books old and new spark the
readers imagination. Do you remember reading Jules Verne and thinking that the natulis was impossible to
imagine in real life? Science fiction in the past has lead to the creativity producing many of the newest
achievements in our technological world. "The Possibilities Are Unlimited @ Your Library" This theme for
National Library Week, April 12 to 18, 2015 sums up the true concept that public libraries strive to achieve.
Today, "The Cat and the Hat", Harry Potter or the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" all entice our youth to experience the fun and joy that reading can bring. When started young, reading has proven to enhance the
learning process throughout the child's school career.
Whether looking for the latest fiction, music cds, movie dvds or just catching up on the latest news in
the local newspaper, Muhlenberg Community Library continues to provide a safe and comfortable place
staffed by knowledgeable librarians ready to help . 20 computers and laptops, although not the most up to
date are available including instruction when needed. With our bandwidth greatly increased new computers
are in our near future. It’s up to you, our neighbors and our local businesses to see the need and be part of
the solution.
Help us to continue to provide these services to all who come through our doors.
Stop by Muhlenberg Community Library.
See the changes.
Share in the possibilities.
PLEASE DONATE TODAY. Thank you for your past, present and future consideration.

Bibliotecas Cambian Vidas
Estimados residentes,
“The Possibilities
Are Unlimited @ Your Library,” el tema de la S mana Nacional de la Biblioteca, el 12-15 de abril, 2015, resume el concepto verdadero que las bibliotecas se esfuerzan por lograr.
Hoy The Cat in the Hat, Harry Potter o The Diary of a Wimpy Kid atraen a nuestra juventud la diversión y la alegría que el leer puede traer.
informados, dispuestos a ayudar.
