THE DIRECT METHOD Este método argumenta que una lengua extranjera puede enseñarse sin traducir, a diferencia del Método GramáticaTraducción THE DIRECT METHOD El profesor no explica conceptos sino que asocia el significado mediante acciones y demostraciones THE DIRECT METHOD De esta forma, los alumnos inducen / deducen las normas gramaticales, a través de ejemplos, ilustraciones y demostraciones THE DIRECT METHOD Este método sustituye el libro de texto con dinámicas profesor-alumno POR actividades alumno-alumno, como por ejemplo lectura en voz alta, cadenas de preguntas – respuestas, dictados, autocorreciones entre alumnos, fill-in-thegaps orales y escritos, drills de pronunciación y estructuras, etc. THE DIRECT METHOD Se da especial atención a la correcta pronunciación en este método. Además, el nuevo vocabulario se enseña utilizando palabras ya conocidas PRINCIPIOS BÁSICOS 1. La clase se conduce exclusivamente en inglés. El profesor demuestra, no explica o traduce.
