UPDATES AT THE ACADEMY:

Q2 Report Card Pick-Up: Thanks to all of your participation, for Q1 RCPU, we had 97% parent attendance! Put
Friday, January 23rd, 2:00pm – 6:30pm on your calendars now, and let's be the only Noble school to get 100%.

Finals Make-Up: Students who are absent from finals are required to meet with teachers to reschedule. The
Noble Network policy requires teachers to enter a “0” as the final grade for students who are absent. This will be
the final grade if the absent student does not meet with the appropriate teacher to make-up the test within two
weeks following the original testing date.

Promotion Requirement: The Noble Network academic policy states that students must pass every class they
are enrolled in to be eligible for promotion. Students will be required to enroll in night and/or summer school
classes to make-up any failed courses. Night school and summer school courses cost $140. Students who need to
can register for Night School at Report Card Pick Up or the Monday following Report Card Pick Up (January 26th).

Community Service: Students who failed the Community Service semester requirement will need to make it up
at Community Service Night School for $140. Registration will be at Report Card Pick Up or the following week.

Career Night: Do you want your child to meet inspirational community leaders in every professional field,
including business, medicine, education, and athletics? Career night is an opportunity for your child to network
with top professionals! Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, January 28th from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

Calling the Academy after hours: Parents, if your child is at LaSalle or staying for office hours, you can call
312-574-1527 ext. 5320 until 5:30pm to speak to a staff member.

Selma: Students and families, we strongly encourage you to see the movie Selma next Monday for MLK day. It is
Black history month and the movie is a powerful reminder of this country's history and the heroes that fought for
equality.
DISCIPLINE REMINDERS:

Pick up and Drop off: A reminder that students cannot be dropped off or picked up on State Street. The city
has requested that we not permit this for traffic reasons. Please use either Washington, Madison or Wabash.

Loitering: If students are downtown, and it is 7:15 or after, they must be at school.

LaSalle: It is the student’s responsibility to inform parents that they have a LaSalle. Students can call parents in
the morning before school, during lunch, or afterschool from the main office.

Shopping and Stores: Monday through Thursday, Students are not permitted in any stores or businesses before
or after school. Students will be allowed to go to stores only after school on Friday.

Detention: If your child earns a detention, please make sure they attend. The pink slip needs to be signed by a
parent or guardian. Please note that - 1st skip = 4 demerits, and 2nd skip = 1 day suspension. Not signing the
slip = 2 demerits.

ACTUALIZACIONES EN LA ACADEMIA:







Día de recoger boletas (segundo trimestre): Gracias a todos su participación, por RCPU Q1 terminamos
con 97% de asistencia de padres! Ponga Viernes, 23 de enero, 2:00-6:30pm en su calendario ahora, y vamos
a ser la única escuela Noble en obtener el 100%.
Exámenes Finales: Estudiantes ausentes durante días de exámenes finales deben hablar con sus maestros
para ver cuando pueden tomar el examen. La póliza de Noble Network requiere que los profesores deben
introducir un "0" como la nota final de los estudiantes que están ausentes. Esta será la nota final, si el
estudiante ausente no cumple con el profesor adecuado para hacer el examen dentro de las dos semanas
siguientes a la fecha de la prueba inicial.
Requisito de promoción: La póliza del Noble Network indica que los estudiantes deben pasar todas las
clases para ser elegibles para promoción. Los estudiantes tendrán que inscribirse a escuela de noche o de
verano para recibir crédito para las clases reprobadas. Escuela nocturna y escuela de verano cuestan $140.
Los estudiantes que necesiten pueden inscribirse en la Escuela Nocturna el día de recoger boletas o el lunes
siguiente Informe de Pick Up (26 de enero).
Servicio a la Comunidad: Los estudiantes que reprobaron el requisito semestre de servicio comunitario
tendrá que asistir a escuela nocturna comunidad por $140. La inscripción será el dia de recoger boletas o la
semana siguiente.
Noche de carrera! Padres, por favor anime a su hijo a asistir a la Noche de la carrera de la Academia el
Miércoles, 28 de enero de 6pm-7pm. Ellos tendrán la oportunidad de conocer y trabajar en red con
profesionales de éxito en diversos campos, incluyendo la gestión deportiva, el periodismo, la medicina y la
educación. Además, recibirán un dólar al mérito por su asistencia!
Llamar a la Academia después de horas: Padres, si su hijo está en LaSalle o se queda después de clases,
puede llamar al 312-574-1527 ext. 5320 hasta las 5:30 pm para hablar con un miembro del personal.
Selma: Los estudiantes y familias, le recomendamos que vean la película Selma el próximo lunes para el día
de Martin Luther King. Es el mes de historia de Afroamericanos y la película es un poderoso recordatorio de la
historia de este país y los héroes que lucharon por la igualdad.
RECORDATORIOS DE DISCIPLINA:





Recogida y entrega: Un recordatorio de que los estudiantes no pueden ser dejados o recogidos en la calle
State. La ciudad ha solicitado que no permitimos esto por razones de tráfico. Por favor, dejar y recoger en
cualquiera de Washington, Madison o Wabash.
Vagancia: Si los estudiantes están en el centro y son después de las 7:15am, deben estar en la escuela y no
vagando afuera.
LaSalle: Es la responsabilidad de su hija/hijo infórmale que han recibido un LaSalle. Estudiantes pueden
llamar a sus padres en la mañana antes de clases, durante lonche, o después de clases del teléfono de la
oficina.
Ir de Compras: Estudiantes no están permitidos a estar en ninguna tienda o negocio antes o después de
clases de lunes a jueves. El único día que podrán ir de compras o estar en algún negocio es el viernes.
Detención: Si el estudiante es asignado una detención, favor de asegurarse que asista! La hoja rosada de
detención debe ser firmada por el padre o guardián. Tome en cuenta- Primer vez que no asisten= 4
deméritos, y segunda vez que no asisten= 1 suspensión. Si no firman la hoja rosada= 2 deméritos.
