Editorial
En este número que tenéis en vuestras manos, podréis encontrar una serie de artículos
que han sido desarrollados por colegas odontopediatras que trabajan en países ibero
americanos, donde la atención oontológica en la población infantil constituye uno de los
pilares más importantes de la profesión.
Realizado desde Méjico, publicamos un artículo que lleva por título: Evaluación in
vitro de la microfiltracion de dos selladores de fosas y fisuras aplicados en primeros
molares temporales. Los autores: Lorena Balcázar Partida, Nidia María Balcázar Partida, Elizabeth Alcántara Hernández, Rosa Patricia Gómez Cobos, proceden de la ciudad
de Guadalajara en el citado país.
Otra de las publicaciones se encuentra realizada en Venezuela. Lleva por título: Prevalencia de caries y pérdida de primeros molares permanentes en una muestra de niños
venezolanos. Viene firmado por: M. C. Morales-Chávez, Y. Arias-Pardo, S. BocarandaNuñez, V. Fernandez-Da Silva.
Este hecho lo hemos venido observando en los últimos números publicados donde
hemos tenido la oportunidad de leer artículos de Brasil, Venezuela, etc., ello señala que
la difusión de nuestra revista cada vez va siendo mayor a nivel internacional, sin duda
ello enriquece la edición de cada número.
Procedentes de nuestras Universidades encontramos una revisión del grupo de la
UIC, capitaneado por nuestro malogrado amigo Lluis Bellet.
El artículo que lleva por título: Evolución de las coronas como material de restauración en dentición temporal. Revisión de la literatura. En esta ocasión lo firman: Mª
Mercè Virolés Suñer, Ruht Mayné Acién, Francisco Guinot Jimeno, Luis Jorge Bellet
Dalmau.
Agradecemos infinitamente la aportación de casos clínicos en nuestra revista en este
número, el artículo lleva por título: Parestesia con el uso de anestésicos locales. A propósito de dos casos, y lo firma: Mª Antonia Alcaina Lorente.
Tras la celebración de las 11ª Jornadas de Encuentro Pediatría Odontopediatría, no
nos queda más que agradecer, una vez más, la gran acogida de las mismas entre ambas
profesiones y la asistencia fidelizada durante muchos años, de profesionales de la salud
unidos por un mismo objetivo: obtener la salud integral de los pacientes infantiles.

In the issue that is in your hands, you will be able to find a series of articles that
have been written by colleagues who are Pediatric Dentists working in Latin American countries where dental care in the child population represents one of the most
important pillars of the profession.
We are publishing an article that was written in Mexico entitled: In vitro evaluation of the micro-leakage of two pit and fissure sealants applied to primary first molars. The authors Lorena Balcázar Partida, Nidia María Balcázar Partida, Elizabeth
Alcántara Hernández, and Rosa Patricia Gómez Cobos are from the Mexican city of
Guadalajara.
Another publication came from Venezuela with the title, Prevalence of caries and
loss of permanent first molars in a sample of Venezuelan children. It is signed by M.
C. Morales-Chávez, Y. Arias-Pardo, S. Bocaranda-Nuñez and V. Fernandez-Da Silva.
We have observed in the recent issues of the journal that we are having the opportunity of reading articles from Brazil, Venezuela… this indicates that our journal has
an increasingly larger international spread which undoubtedly enriches each issue.
From our own universities we will find a revision by the group from the UIC,
headed by our ill-fated friend Lluis Bellet.The articled is entitled: Development of
crowns as a restoration material for primary teeth. A revision of the literature. On
this occasion it is signed by: Mª Mercè Virolés Suñer, Ruth Mayné Acién, Francisco
Guinot Jimeno and Luís Jorge Bellet Dalmau.
We are eternally grateful for the contribution of case reports to our journal and in
this issue the title of the article is: Paresthesia following the use of local anesthetic.
A report of two cases, which is signed by Mª Antonia Alcaina Lorente.
After holding the 11 th joint Pediatrics-Pediatric Dentistry Meeting, we can only be
grateful once again for the great reception both professions gave each other and for
their faithful attendance over the years. These health professionals were brought together by a common goal; that of obtaining comprehensive health for our pediatric
patients.
