Our first two weeks of school have been
amazing! The students came to school
eager to learn, well prepared and ready for
the next challenges. In the playground,
they are acting respectfully and are nice to
each other. The teachers have noted a big
positive difference in their attitudes and
willingness to learn. We feel your children
are ready and very excited to be back. We
know this year will be outstanding!

Directora
Nuestras dos primeras semanas de
escuela han sido todo un éxito. Todos los
estudiantes vinieron a la escuela muy bién
preparados y listos para aprender. En la
hora del recreo todos juegan y se
respetan. Su actitud es muy positiva y
respetuosa. Sabemos que están muy
contentos de estar de regreso a clases y
que están muy emocionados por aprender
nuevas cosas y obtener las más altas
metas académicas.

We are very grateful for

Project Cornerstone Los
Dichos Program for ALL
PARENTS will start
September 18th. You will
read a book, practice a
lesson, and sign up to
co-teach a lesson with any
teacher or teachers.
It gives me a great pleasure to announce to
you that Dorsa met all of the state and
federal targets. 41% of our students are
proficient or advanced in Language Arts and
50% of our students are proficient or advanced
in math. I must recognize that this
accomplishment could not have made possible
without your continued support, all the
students’ efforts and the teachers’ dedication
and hard work. Our goal for this academic
year is to achieve 60% proficient in both
Language Arts and Math. We need your
continued and valuable support by making
sure your children do not miss school or come
late, and by making sure you stay informed in
regards to his/her academic progress.
Resultados de Examenes
Me da un gran placer el poder comunicarles
que el 41% de nuestros estudiantes están
proficientes o avanzados en Artes de
Lenguaje, y 50% están proficientes o
avanzados en matemáticas. Estos logros de
deben a nuestro trabajo de equipo y su apoyo.
Nuestra meta para éste año escolar es lograr
un 60% de estudiantes proficientes en las dos
areas. Esperamos continuar contando con su
apoyo asegurandose que sus hijos no falten o
lleguen tarde a la escuela y manteniendose
informados de su progreso académico

Readers’ Digest Fundraiser
We will begin our first fundraiser to raise
funds for fieldtrips. We hope to count on
your support. This fundraiser will start
September 23, 2009.
Vamos a dar comienzo a nuestro primer
evento para recaudar fondos para los viajes
de estudios de los estudiantes. Éste evento
comenzará el día 23 de septiembre.
